‘Gangster’ Florida sheriff has words for Dems fleeing blue states: ‘Go back’

A Florida sheriff who has built a reputation as a no-nonsense lawman has a message for those who are fleeing blue state hellholes and want to bring their leftist politics to the Sunshine State, “go back” to where you came from.

Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno has been dubbed a “gangster” sheriff for his viral social media videos of drug busts, some that show him and his SWAT team dancing outside of the drug houses that have been closed down, and he had strong words for northern refugees and criminals in an interview with Fox News Digital.

“My message… is clear. If you think you can deal poison and commit crime, stay clear of Lee County and all the great state of Florida. We’re ready, and we will absolutely find you, hunt you down, and charge you to force the extent of the law,” Sheriff Marceno said.

The sheriff noted that those who have come to Florida for safety under the leadership of Governor Ron DeSantis may be leaving their ruined cities behind but they’re bringing their politics with them.

“They want to leave California. They want to leave New York. Okay. And then they come down to a state like Florida, where we are law and order, and they don’t change their views,” he added. “You left a place where there’s havoc, where people can rob, steal, loot, do drugs in safe havens. And then you’re upset that it’s so bad there, and you come here and still do the same thing. Same action, same result.”

“I tell people all the time, and it’s probably not popular to some. If you don’t like living with law and order, have a nice day. Leave. Go back to where you came from because we don’t want you here. We welcome everyone to our great state of Florida. But if you think lawlessness leads the way, if you believe that criminals should roam the streets and steal and rob and, God forbid, deal poison to the streets and kill innocent people, you’re not the person we want here. You can go back and live with lawlessness,” he told the outlet.

“The world has gone crazy,” the sheriff said of the unprovoked violent attacks in New York City where the latest victim of Gotham’s mean streets was “Sopranos” and “Boardwalk Empire” actor Steve Buscemi who was randomly sucker punched in the face over the weekend.

Sheriff Marceno, who is originally from New York, has inspired awe on TikTok where videos of his busts have made him into a law enforcement legend.

He’s been called “more gangster than gangsters” and “the best sheriff in America” by commentators, with one saying “Bro is taking out all the villains and making a diss track of them.”

“Since the sheriff was elected in 2018, he has executed nearly 800 search warrants and worked over 3,300 cases in narcotics, with just under 2,000 physical arrests,” according to Fox News.

“Since Sheriff Marceno’s tenure, Lee County has experienced a consistent decline in the crime rate, even during major events such as the Covid-19 pandemic and Hurricane Ian,” reads his bio on the Lee County Sheriff’s Office website. “This reduction is due in part to the various initiatives and programs implemented, tasked at increasing safety within the county and improving quality of life. Some of these include the creation of the Real Time Intelligence Center, the Animal Cruelty Task Force, the School Threat Enforcement Team, and expanding the Narcotics Unit.”
