Gavin Newsom mocked for ‘micro-cults’ panic after son takes interest in Joe Rogan, Jordan Peterson

California Governor Gavin Newsom is clutching his pearls. He fears that his kids are in “micro-cults” — and social media thinks it’s hilarious.

In a Bloomberg interview published earlier this month, the slick progressive was asked if he talks to his children about artificial intelligence.

“I had a very serious conversation with my oldest daughter about the chatbots on Snap…” Newsom replied. “[Separately] I really worry about the misinformation, disinformation… about what’s happening with our country, but I really worry about these micro-cults that my kids are in…”

“I say micro-cults,” he explained, “because I don’t know if there’s a better way to describe it. My son is asking me about Andrew Tate, Jordan Peterson. And then immediately he’s talking about Joe Rogan. And I’m like, here it is, the pathway.”

The trio of “cult leaders ” Newsom mentioned have the audacity to speak out in favor of masculinity, free speech, and pushing back against the destructive liberal policies that Newsom often champions.

“Sounds like a well-informed kid!” stated Trending Politics co-owner Collin Rugg.

“Gavin wishes he could be based,” he noted.

Peterson shot back with a sarcastic warning.

“We’re coming for your children @GavinNewsom,” he wrote on X. “We plan to turn Your boys Into men And girls Into women Within the dark Pathways Of our micro cult.”

“Young men are moving to the right – even Gavin Newsom can’t control his own son,” said TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk. “Good!”

“At least someone in the family has a pair of nuts,” said another X user.

On his Thursday “Timcast,” podcaster Tim Pool said Newsom’s kids “are getting strong messaging from better men.”

“It’s good to hear that there are positive influences in the lives of his children,” Pool stated.

“If you listen to Jordan Peterson, Joe Rogan, and Andrew Tate,” he said, “you’re in the opposite of a cult because these guys challenge ideas and often don’t really have strong ones themselves.”

“If your kids are getting an eclectic view of the world and learning from the likes of Jordan Peterson, who openly admits that he may have been wrong and he’s learning,” Pool argued, “it’s not them that’s in a cult, bro, it’s you that’s in a cult.”
