If California Gov. Gavin Newsom has made anything clear thus far, it’s that he will say pretty much anything to advance his presidential aspirations.
But his latest remarks about the left not having the same friendly media ecosystem that President Donald Trump and the right do really takes the cake.
“I don’t see that on MSNBC…I sure as hell don’t see it on CNN. I don’t see it anywhere,” Newson claimed, adding, “How do you compete with that?”

Hell, if anything, the two networks named by Newsom are all but extensions of the Democratic Party’s campaign apparatus.
Manhattan Institute senior fellow Chris Rufo, who was named by Newson, responded on X, “Our reporting is really starting to expose Gavin Newsom. Now he’s listing his enemies in the press and referring to me as ‘this guy, Chris Rufo, one of the greats.'”

Rufo also added, “We see you [Gavin Newsom] and we have some stories in the pipeline that are going to really make you squirm.”
As for his reporting, Rufo highlights what he describes as Newson’s “criminal network” in the post below:
EXCLUSIVE: Our team has scoured public records and discovered that Gavin Newsom has close connections with at least ten people who have been investigated, indicted, or convicted of fraud and corruption.

Keep in mind, Media Research Center found that 92% of the major network media coverage of Trump during his first 100 days in office was negative. In fact, the recent media debacle over the Reflecting Pool shows that the media as a whole is fully committed to denigrating Trump at every opportunity, even when it comes to his efforts to beautify the nation’s capital ahead of America’s celebration of 250 years.
Here’s a sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
This is one of the biggest examples of gaslighting I may have ever seen.

Normally I would say no politician could be that stupid, they’re obviously gaslighting–but this is Newsom, he might actually believe this. 😂

And what’s with that head tilting shit? Asking for a friend.

What’s with his weird head movements? I swear the dude is coked out of his gourd.

He is really saying, I’m living in a bubble without actually saying he’s living in a bubble.

There is nothing left of the connection between objective reality and what he is willing to say, rendering the notion that he might have a conscience nonexistent. He has been vacuous for so long that he can’t find his way out. A very dangerous state of affairs
