GOP lawmaker suggests Ilhan Omar should be deported

A GOP House lawmaker has called for Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) to be sent back to where she came from after the Somalia-born Democrat told a reporter that she’s advising illegal aliens on how to resist federal immigration authorities.

Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) shared a clip that was posted to X that showed the “Squad” member explaining how she coaches Somali constituents on how to answer questions from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to avoid being deported and how to use the law to protect themselves from being held accountable for breaking it.

“America would be a better place if @IlhanMN were deported back to Somalia,” wrote Gill, a freshman who represents Texas’s 26th congressional district.

In the clip, Omar admits that she provides guidance to those who are “undocumented or who their documentation might have lapsed” on how to thwart ICE agents.

“You are not obligated to answer their questions. Just state that you are advised by a lawyer not to answer questions,” the anti-Semitic Democrat told the reporter. “Disclosure of your name, immigration status, and the mode of entry is not mandatory. Learn the laws and prepare yourself and refrain from disclosing information that you prefer them not to know.”

In another post, Rep. Gill wrote “We should have never let Ilhan Omar into our country.”

“Representative Omar’s conduct raises questions about to whom she is most loyal- the American people or illegal aliens from Somalia. Representative Gill simply stated that it is disgraceful for a sitting Congresswoman and US citizen to facilitate the invasion of our country by illegal alien Somalis,” a spokesperson for Gill told The Hill.

Billionaire X owner and DOGE chief Elon Musk also reacted to the clip of Omar’s workshops to assist foreign lawbreakers.

“She is breaking the law. Literally. Outright,” Musk wrote.

Judging from the reactions from X users, the idea to remove the malignancy is a winner.

Omar was trotted out on CNN to defend herself, a network that dutifully promotes the Democrat narrative.

“It just shows you how much he lacks an understanding of what the laws of the country are,” she said, adding, “It is important for people to exercise their Fifth Amendment rights to remain silent unless they feel confident that they have the legal protections that they need.”

“Nobody needs to put themselves at jeopardy by speaking to law enforcement if they do not have the advice of lawyers and we continue to tell people that,” Omar told CNN.
