President Biden rang in his 81st trip around the sun on Monday by proving that’s a real, real long time to be traveling.
The president ushered in his birthday by participating in the annual White House turkey pardoning ahead of Thanksgiving and he could not have better mangled an attempt to be hip and appeal to young Americans when he got his pop divas all mixed up.
Biden was joking about how difficult it is to get tickets to see Beyonce in concert but seems to confuse her with “Britney” [Spears?], and then further confuses her with Taylor Swift — there’s a lot of cultural appropriation going on there.
“Now just to get here, Liberty and Bell had to beat some tough odds in the competition. They had to work hard, show patience, and be willing to travel over 1,000 miles,” he said. “You could say even harder than getting a ticket to the Renaissance tour or, or, or Britney’s tour, she’s down in — it’s kinda warm in Brazil right now.”

While the geriatric president was cracking jokes about it being warm in Brazil a family is grieving the death of a young woman who died at a Taylor Swift concert there on Friday.

NRCC Communications Director Jack Pandol responded to Biden’s latest blunder in a tweet that read, “This is an impeachable offense.”
Adding to the day’s bizarre occurrences, at one point Biden is seen abruptly leaving the turkey pardoning ceremony, half-jogging back into the White House — his reasoning unknown, although it appears that he needs to get somewhere in a hurry.
