Sexy golf influencer Paige Spiranac tees up her shot to replace top analyst at NBC Sports

The announcement that NBC Sports wasn’t renewing its contract with top golf analyst Paul Azinger left the network with a big hole to fill in its golf coverage and influencer Paige Spiranac put her name out there for consideration as his replacement.

In news that came as a surprise to many – reportedly including Azinger himself – NBC Sports made the call to move on from the 1993 PGA Championship winner after five years as the network moves to overhaul its coverage.

While it is currently unknown who will replace Azinger in NBC’s links coverage, the sexy social media influencer and podcast host took to the X platform, formerly known as Twitter, to express her interest in the prestigious gig.

“Fine, I’ll step in,” she wrote, sharing a post with the news that the 63-year-old analyst was out.

On Monday, Spiranac responded to an X user who wrote, “@PaigeSpiranac there’s a rumor you’ll be replacing Paul Azinger on the NBC Golf broadcasts. Can you confirm? If it’s just a rumor then we need to create a campaign to get you that job!”

“I’m a woman of the people. And the people want me to replace Paul Azinger. You can’t deny I’d bring two big attributes to the table. My personality and golf knowledge of course,” she wrote.

Other X users expressed enthusiasm over the idea that Spiranac could take over Azinger’s spot.

“We want to thank Paul for his work with us over the last five years,” NBC said in a statement on cutting ties with its analyst. “His insights, his work ethic and relationships in the golf industry are well known, and we appreciate what he brought to our team. We wish Paul the best in his future endeavors.”

“I have treasured working beside Dan Hicks and the other talented NBC broadcasters as well as lead producer Tommy Roy and all those behind the scenes,” Azinger said in a statement. “They are a remarkable team, and I will miss them tremendously. My thanks to them and the countless others who have supported me and helped me along the way during my work in television. I have faith in what the future holds for me, for NBC, and for the great game of golf.”
