Group calls on crazies to show up and shut down congressional baseball game

Radical left climate alarmists in Washington have announced that they plan to “disrupt” the scheduled congressional baseball game on July 28.

Of course, the last time someone on the left disrupted the game, this being a fervid Bernie Sanders supporter, five people lay wounded, including House GOP Whip Steve Scalise of Louisiana, who was seriously wounded. The gunman took care to confirm that it was Republicans practicing on the field before opening fire without warning, and was subsequently killed by Capitol Police officers who were part of Scalise’s security detail — a perk of being in a House leadership position. Who knows what carnage would have unfolded otherwise?

Not that this concerns the true domestic terrorists in America. After all, once you designate your fellow man as a “monster,” all bets are off.

“We disrupted Brett Kavanaugh’s steak dinner and we will disrupt the Congressional Baseball Game. The monsters tearing apart our country deserve no peace,” read a tweet from the group ShutDown DC.

“If 100s of us turn out to the Congressional Baseball Game this month and risk arrest, there’s a real chance we could shut the whole thing down,” a follow-up tweet stated, before asking unhinged zealots to sign up.

ShutDown DC was the same extremist group that offered a bounty of up to $200 for confirmed sightings of Supreme Court justices after the overturn of Roe v. Wade.

Groups like this act in such a reckless manner because they can be sure the Biden administration’s Justice Department will take little action. After all, it’s not like they are parents trying to protect their children from sexual grooming in school or from being burdened with undue racial shame. The latter group is labeled domestic terrorists and gets the full attention of the FBI. The former is often released from jail after breaking the law and further accommodated when all charges are eventually dropped.

And if the occasional left-wing nut job opens fire on Republicans, we can be assured that the media will quickly move on after offering prerequisite base coverage — just ask Scalise.
