‘Gutfeld!’ zings Beto O’Rourke after brutal loss: ‘I told people from Texas I was gonna take their guns’

Republicans may have fumbled away a major opportunity by not capitalizing on the miserable performance of the Biden regime to roll to majorities in both houses of Congress but they were able to get a few big wins including the Texas governorship and in the process, possibly ended the political career of Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke, a three-time loser whose appeal on social media never transferred to voters.

Quite possibly the most ridiculous candidate trotted out in recent years by Democrats in their endless quest to turn Texas blue, the quirky Beto was on the receiving end of a double-digit beat down by Republican Governor Greg Abbott, providing much comic material to Fox News host Greg Gutfeld and his guests who skewered the perennial loser with the phony Latino nickname.

On Friday’s edition of “Gutfeld,” the crew got some laughs from exploiting O’Rourke’s misfortune for their amusement with a number of zingers including mocking his gun grabbing tendencies which he based much of his limited appeal on, a real deal killer in the Lone Star State.

Fox Business host Lisa Kennedy aka Kennedy put a positive spin on Tuesday, “The death of Beto O’Rourke’s career I thought was also a phenomenal development,”

“Remember, losing to him is winning,” Gutfeld said.

“And what a cottage industry that is,” she responded. “So even if he’s got a little bit of a grift where he’s taking you know, 5 percent off the top of whatever gets poured into his losing elections, It’s gotta be at this point – I’m not even kidding – like a half a billion dollars. So if he’s gotten 25 million off of that then why would you stop?”

“Jesse Jackson ran for president like every four years for, since the 1700s,” Gutfeld added.

“And the Beto thing real quick, I gotta be honest, I’m envious,” said pro wrestler and Fox News contributor George ‘Tyrus’ Murdoch later in the segment. “Cause think about it, you run, you get all kinds of money, and then you don’t have to go to work. I think if he won, he would be irate,”

“He would come out like, ‘what are we doing? Did you not hear anything I said? I skateboarded to the dentist,’ ‘you voted for me?’” Tyrus said, suggesting that O’Rourke would be appalled if he actually won and had to work for a living.

Regular Kat Timpf may have had the line of the night though.

“He’s like, ‘I told people from Texas I was gonna take their guns,” she laughed as everyone else busted up.

Beto didn’t exactly call it a career after his latest thumping, taking to Twitter to thank his supporters.

“Honor of my lifetime to run this race with you. Good came from this and will continue to come from this,” he wrote. “We are in this fight for life. Not sure the path or the role but I know the way is forward. I will see you all out there.”
