Haley asks why people are discussing ‘conspiracy theories’ about Taylor Swift ‘when the world’s on fire’

Republican presidential hopeful Nikki Haley reacted to the “conspiracy theories” that pop megastar Taylor Swift would be endorsing President Joe Biden before the November election.

The last several months have been completely saturated with Swift who has been everywhere but especially in the NFL where she has become the world’s most famous Kansas City Chiefs fan and will be crammed down the throats of beleaguered football fans during Super Bowl week with the team once again in the big game.

The pandering former South Carolina governor, whose support seems to be about as organic as the romance between the singer and Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce, joined Jake Tapper where she trashed the MAGA world over being suspicious of Swift.

“I don’t know what the obsession is,” Haley said.  “Taylor Swift is allowed to have a boyfriend. Taylor Swift is a good artist.”

“I’ve taken my daughter to Taylor Swift concerts before,” she added.

“You know, to have a conspiracy theory of all of this is bizarre. Nobody knows who she’s going to endorse,” Haley said, seeming to crack open the door that she could be the one who gets the nod.

“Why are we talking about conspiracy theories about Taylor Swift’s boyfriend when the world’s on fire? Make America normal again,” Haley later wrote on X.

But Haley is pointing the finger in the wrong direction when it comes to the “conspiracy theory” that Swift will bestow her blessing on Biden, as none other than The New York Times suggested that such a thing could happen just this week.

The paper’s story is titled, “Inside Biden’s Anti-Trump Battle Plan (and Where Taylor Swift Fits In)” so if it’s a “conspiracy theory” it’s right out in the open, even as the media tries to depict the idea as belonging solely to Trump supporters.

“The biggest and most influential endorsement target is Ms. Swift, 34, the pop sensation and N.F.L. enthusiast, who can move millions of supporters with an Instagram post or a mid-concert aside. She endorsed Mr. Biden in 2020 and, last year, a single Instagram post of hers led to 35,000 new voter registrations. Fund-raising appeals from Ms. Swift could be worth millions of dollars for Mr. Biden,” according to the Times.

The formerly esteemed newspaper turned Democrat propaganda organ also quoted California Gov. Gavin Newsom who swooned over Swift.

“Taylor Swift stands tall and unique,” Newsom said. “What she was able to accomplish just in getting young people activated to consider that they have a voice and that they should have a choice in the next election, I think, is profoundly powerful.”

Democrats are just salivating over the idea that Swift could be the secret weapon who finally takes down former President Donald J. Trump by mobilizing the army of “Swifties” to vote for Biden, delivering the coveted endorsement. And that’s not exactly a “conspiracy theory” as Haley would lead people to believe.
