A top Hamas official stormed out of a BBC interview on Thursday after being asked to explain how he can justify Hamas’ recent terror attack in Israel.
During the interview with Hamas spokesperson Ghazi Hamad, BBC Middle East correspondent Hugo Bachega specifically pressed him about the Oct. 7th murder of 1,300+ innocent Israeli civilians, including men, women, and children.
Hamad responded by dubiously claiming Hamas had never intended to target civilians.
“There was no command to kill any civilians. The area there is very wide, there are many people there, and there were clashes and confrontations,” Hamad said.
Bachega was rightly unconvinced.
“It’s not confrontation. You invaded houses,” he responded.
“I can tell you we did not have any intention or decision to kill civilians,” Hamad then insisted, prompting Bachega to hit him with a truth bomb.
“How do you justify killing people as they sleep, families?” he asked.
Rather than answer, Hamad said he wanted “to stop this interview,” removed his microphone, and then left.
The irony, according to critics (see below), is that he inadvertently proved Bachega’s point by demonstrating that there is no conjurable defense/justification for Hamas’ brutal, evil terrorist attack.
Basically confirming that there is no justification.

I guess he can’t justify killing people as they sleep….

The interview with Hamad came just two days after the Israel Defense Forces released a telling phone audio recording of a Hamas terrorist bragging to his parents about killing innocent Jewish Israeli civilians.
Recorded during the Oct. 7th terror attack in Israel, the call was made on the phone of one of Hamas’ many victims. In the call, a Hamas terrorist could be heard bragging to his parents that he’d just killed 10 Jews in Mefalsim, a kibbutz near the Gaza border.
“Hi, Dad. I’m talking you from Mefalsim. Open my WhatsApp now and you’ll see [pictures of] all those killed. Look how many I killed with my own hands! Your son killed Jews!” he said, according to a translation.
“Dad, I’m talking to you from a Jewish woman’s phone. I killed her, and I killed her husband. I killed ten with my own hands! Dad, ten with my own hands! Dad, open WhatsApp and see how many I killed,” he added.

As seen in the clip above, his parents were very supportive and proud of the terrorist.
“Oh my son, God bless you! May God bring you home safely,” one of them said.
Later during the call, the terrorist’s family begged him to return home, but he refused, claiming he must stay and fight until the end.
“What do you mean come back? There is no going back. It’s either death or victory. My mother gave birth to me for the religion,” he said.
The call was published Tuesday, a day after the IDF screened roughly an hour’s worth of footage from the Oct. 7th attack for the media at a military base in Israel.
The footage told the true story, which was that of Hamas terrorists brutally torturing, raping, and murdering innocent Israeli civilians.
Hundreds of journalists and photographers from media companies all over the world attended today the screening of a film of assorted footage showing the extent of the horrors committed by Hamas.

The screening was attended by U.S. journalist Graeme Wood, who later penned a piece for The Atlantic describing the gruesome images he’d seen.
“The videos show pure, predatory sadism; no effort to spare those who pose no threat; and an eagerness to kill nearly matched by eagerness to disfigure the bodies of the victims. In several clips, the Hamas killers fire shots into the heads of people who are already dead. They count corpses, taking their time, and then shoot them again,” he wrote.
“Some of the clips I had not previously seen simply show the victims in a state of terror as they wait to be murdered, or covered with bits of their friends and loved ones as they are loaded into trucks and brought to Gaza as hostages. There was no footage of rape, although there was footage of young women huddling in fear and then being executed in a leisurely manner,” he added.
Clearly, as the evidence shows, Hamas terrorists did intend to kill innocent civilians, and there’s nothing Hamad could say or do to prove otherwise.
