RFK Jr still stonewalled on Secret Service after ‘hostile’ stalker breaches private property TWICE in one day

An intruder jumped a fence at Robert Kennedy Jr.’s Brentwood, Calif., home on Wednesday, was arrested, and “immediately” returned to the Independent presidential candidate’s home and tried to do it a second time, prompting Kennedy to once again ask Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to provide him with Secret Service protection.

According to Kennedy’s “Kennedy 24” website, “Protectors from Gavin de Becker & Associates (GDBA) detected and detained the intruder, who asked to see the candidate. The intruder was turned over to the LAPD.”

“After being released from police custody, the man immediately returned to Kennedy’s residence and was arrested again,” the campaign site continues. “The candidate was home at the time of both arrests.

“GDBA had notified the Secret Service about this specific obsessed individual several times in recent months and shared alarming communications he has sent to the candidate,” the site notes.

As BizPac Review has reported, Secret Service protection has been extended to presidential candidates since Kennedy’s father, Robert F. Kennedy Sr., was tragically assassinated in 1968.

“Since the assassination of my father in 1968, candidates for president are provided Secret Service protection,” Kennedy wrote on X in July. “But not me.”

“Typical turnaround time for pro forma protection requests from presidential candidates is 14-days,” he explained at the time. “After 88-days of no response and after several follow-ups by our campaign, the Biden Administration just denied our request.”

“I have determined that Secret Service protection for Robert F Kennedy Jr is not warranted at this time,” he quoted Mayorkas as saying.

“Our campaign’s request included a 67-page report from the world’s leading protection firm, detailing unique and well-established security and safety risks aside from commonplace death threats,” Kennedy added.

In September, at a campaign event in Los Angeles, Kennedy’s private security detail detained an armed man who was allegedly impersonating a U.S. Marshal. The man attempted to approach the candidate before being arrested by Los Angeles police officers.

“I’m very grateful that alert and fast-acting protectors from Gavin de Becker and Associates (GDBA) spotted and detained an armed man who attempted to approach me at my Hispanic Heritage speech at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles tonight,” Kennedy wrote at the time on X.

“The man, wearing two shoulder holsters with loaded pistols and spare ammunition magazines was carrying a U.S. Marshal badge on a lanyard and beltclip federal ID,” he continued. “He identified himself as a member of my security detail. Armed GDBA team members moved quickly to isolate and detain the man until LAPD arrived to make the arrest. I’m also grateful to LAPD for its rapid response.”

Following the stalker scare, the Kennedy camp again petitioned Mayorkas for Secret Service protection.

“In addition to the many threats and threat content provided to your office in Gavin de Becker’s 67-page declaration, your office and Secret Service have also been made aware of a mentally ill intruder who reached the 2nd floor of Mr. Kennedy’s home before being apprehended and arrested,” the “third formal request” letter to Mayorkas reads.

The letter goes on to recall the armed impersonator before detailing the other “delusional intruder” who made his moves on Wednesday.

“Secret Service is aware that he has sent hundreds of emails to the candidate, and believes he is being followed by people who intend to kill him,” it states. “His obsession with RFK Jr leads him to be at times hostile and angry.”

“Every administration for 55 years afforded early Secret Service protection to candidates who requested protection,” the letter reminds Mayorkas. “Your refusal is the sole outlier, making the Biden Administration the only one to refuse a protection request.”

“This is an urgent matter,” it concludes, “and we request an expedited response.”
