Fox News host Sean Hannity had some advice for federal agents conducting raids at home improvement stores.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Border Patrol have conducted a large number of successful operations that aim to apprehend illegal aliens for deportation from the United States, but these operations haven’t come without criticism. The fatal shootings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti have been a focal point for many on the left, including the mainstream media, which has been chomping at the bit to demonize agents and, by extension, President Donald Trump.
Hannity believes it’s time to put the removal of the most violent, dangerous illegals first, then circle back.

“Now, is ICE perfect? They’re not. Can they do a better job? They can. So I think that, you know, some of the optics at times- do I think that going into Home Depots and arresting people there is a good idea? I don’t,” he professed.
“I don’t think that people that– if you’re working at a place, you’re not the immediate problem. Eventually, we’ll have to deal with those people that didn’t respect our laws, borders, and sovereignty. There’s gotta be a program where people get to come forward. I think they should then be given transportation home. They can get a check for what, $2,000? And they can apply to come back into the country legally. We can vet them. We can do a health check on them and make sure they won’t be a financial burden on the American people. I think that’d be a more responsible, reasonable way to deal with that problem,” the host suggested.
While most Democrats are staunchly against the immigration law enforcement that Trump successfully ran on, Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) is bucking his party’s call to defund ICE.

“As a very pro-immigration Democrat and Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Border Management, I believe our nation deserves a secured border and that we should deport all criminal migrants,” he said in an X post.
“I will never vote to shut our government down, especially our Defense Department,” he added. “Additionally, a vote to shut our government down will not defund ICE. DHS has $178B [billion] in funding from the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which I did not vote for.”
“I reject the calls to defund or abolish ICE. I strongly disagree with many strategies and practices ICE deployed in Minneapolis, and believe that must change,” the statement continued. “I want a conversation on the DHS appropriations bill and support stripping it from the minibus.”
