Happy, energized Trump crashes wedding hours after latest arrest, crowd erupts in cheers: ‘USA!’

Despite media reports claiming Donald Trump was “sour” after being indicted for a third time Thursday in a Washington, D.C. federal courthouse, the former president crashed a wedding hours later and appeared to be in great spirits.

Trump had earlier pleaded not guilty to four federal charges filed against him by special counsel Jack Smith for his actions on Jan. 6, 2021, and for allegedly plotting to overturn the 2020 election, and flew to his New Jersey golf club, in Bedminster. Once there, he made a surprise appearance at a wedding that was taking place at the resort.

A video making the rounds online shows Trump walking into a room as guests erupt in cheers. As he shakes a few hands, the enthusiastic crowd begins chanting, “USA! USA!”

After being handed a microphone, Trump briefly addresses the room by complimenting the bride.

“I heard so much about this couple… the bride is totally beautiful,” he told the raucous attendees.

Twitter influencer Collin Rugg shared the footage, adding: “Just hours after being arrested in Washington D.C., Donald Trump decides to crash a wedding at his golf club in Bedminster, N.J. This is Trump’s way of giving a massive ‘F*** you’ to the Washington Uniparty, Biden DOJ and the media that are all trying to imprison him because he knows all these attacks only make him stronger. I love it.”

Interestingly, Trump took to his social media platform Truth Social later Thursday to say he had “a very good day!”

“Considering the fact that I had to fly to a filthy, dirty, falling apart & very unsafe Washington, DC, today & that I was then arrested by my political opponent, who is losing badly to me in the polls, crooked Joe Biden, it was a very good day!” he wrote.

Trump supporters seemed to be buoyed by the footage of Trump being in good spirits, though they cautioned the bride and groom that they may be next in line to be indicted.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on Twitter:
