“Shazam!” star Zachary Levi has gone on record endorsing former President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential race.
Levi was moderating an event with former Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard, the former Democrat congresswoman from Hawaii, on Saturday, and said that he grew up in a Christian conservative family and was taught to “have a healthy level of distrust of the government.”
“That was pretty much, kind of the lane we were in. My parents were Kennedy Democrats [who] turned into regular Republicans,” he said, adding that RFK Jr. is the “real deal” as he explained the predicament he found himself in.

“In a perfect world, in whatever that would look like, perhaps I would have voted for Bobby,” Levi said. “But we don’t live in a perfect world. In fact, we live in a very broken one. We live in a country that has been hijacked by a lot of people who want to take this place way off the cliff, and we’re here to stop that.”
“We are going to take back this country. We are going to make it great again, we’re going to make it healthy again. And so I stand with Bobby and I stand with everyone else who is standing with President Trump. … Of the two choices that we have, and we only have two, President Trump is the man that can get us there,” he added. “And he’s gonna get us there because he’s gonna have the backing and the support and the wisdom and the knowledge and the fight that exists in Robert Kennedy Jr. and former representative Tulsi Gabbard.”
Levi, who starred as the superhero Shazam in two DC movies in 2019 and 2023, has evolved in his view of Trump since 2020 when he posted the following comment on X: “I am no fan or supporter of Trump, and I find his behavior to be vulgar, callous, narcissistic, and lacking empathy. And while I’m not a Conservative, I know many who backed 45 not because they liked him, but because he was the only candidate they felt cared about their needs.”
All of which points to the impact Kennedy is having on some voters in siding with Trump, particularly those with more Libertarian views.
