President Donald Trump isn’t the only boogeyman Democrats plan to target should they secure the gavel following the midterms, as sights were set on a favored villain among their base.

At length in the lead-up to the midterm election, leftists have touted their plans to drag administration officials before endless committees and obstruct the president’s America First objectives by any means necessary, including another impeachment.
Now, after their base filled with Islamists and Hamas sympathizers demonstrated an all-or-nothing posture concerning their agenda in the 2024 presidential election, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) assured his control of the gavel would bring the hammer down on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
During a press conference last week, a question was asked about planned legislation for the 120th Congress specifically regarding Israel. To that, the speakership hopeful made assurances about economic sanctions against anyone deemed as engaging in violence in Judea and Samaria while using the doomed, utopian two-state solution.
Touting more than 170 cosponsors, Jeffries emphasized that Minority Whip Katherine Clark (Mass.) and Democratic Caucus Chair Pete Aguilar (Calif.) are also on board with the “West Bank Violence Prevention Act” introduced by outgoing New York Rep. Jerry Nadler (D).
The bill “now has broad support across the House Democratic Caucus family,” contending it “is certainly a legislative step that should be considered in order to push back aggressively against the out-of-control settler violence in the West Bank that cannot continue.”
Speaking with The Hill, settlement-opposing J Street’s vice president of government affairs Hannah Morris expressed, “It certainly just tells you where the winds are blowing.”
“We have seen such a rapid growth in outposts during the period of this far-right Netanyahu government. And Democrats rightly understand that there has to be a stop to this, and a lot of this has to be reversed.”
Growth of Israeli settlements in the region corresponded with United Nations figures that attributed nearly 3,000 attacks “by Israeli settlers” resulting in over 5,000 “Palestinian injuries including 862 children” between Jan. 1, 2025 and May 31, 2026. The data came courtesy of the widely discredited U.N. Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees, which, as previously reported, has been credibly accused of terrorist affiliations, including an official alleged to have been involved in the Oct. 7, 2023 terror attack on Israel.
As Nadler’s bill also called to impose sanctions on any foreigner “undermining prospects for a two-state solution by committing illegal violent acts,” lawmakers in the upper chamber — Democratic Sens. Chris Coons of Delaware, Ruben Gallego of Arizona, Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Ron Wyden of Oregon — introduced their own legislation pushing for sanctions on companies facilitating Israeli settlements
“As Palestinian civilians face a campaign of devastation and fear from violent extremist settlers,” argued Coons, “the United States must send a strong message that this behavior is unacceptable and that it remains committed to freedom, security, prosperity and self-determination for all Israelis and Palestinians.”
At the same time, the left was actively aiming to oust Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman (D) for his unabashed support for Israel. Netanyahu took the fight to the United Nations General Assembly where, countering the protests outside the U.N. and the “moral cowards” who fled the chamber during his speech, the prime minister argued it was his country that prevented genocide in Iran rather than commit such atrocities anywhere.
