The “mountain of evidence” implicating President Joe Biden in alleged influence peddling is “building every single day,” according to House Oversight Committee member Rep. Scott Perry (R-Pa.).
“He said that he was unaware of his son’s business activities, but not only was he unaware, he was inextricably linked, when we know that he had meetings at the [Naval] Observatory, which is where the vice president lives, with these business partners,” Perry told Newsmax’s Rita Cosby on the “Saturday Report.”

With House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s (R-Calif.) official opening of an impeachment inquiry, Perry said that House committees could now subpoena bank records to “fill in the blanks.”
” When you say these are Hunter’s business dealings,” Perry said, “these are really President Biden’s business dealings.
“On the campaign trail, he said that he was unaware of his son’s business activities,” he continued, “but not only was he not unaware, he was inexorably linked.”
As Vice President, Perry argued, Biden “likely changed American policy based on the wishes of these business partners, most notably the firing of the prosecutor general in Ukraine who was pursuing the company that his son Hunter Biden was working for … the prosecutor was fired at the behest of that company and in exchange for $1 billion in loan guarantees from the United States of America.”
“So that is influence peddling,” Perry stated. “That is changing foreign policy for the sake of his own personal interest.”
“And not to be missed in this whole thing,” the Congressman added, “is the corruption regarding the cover-up by the FBI, the IRS, and the Department of Justice in these proceedings that goes directly to Hunter Biden and maybe to President Biden.”
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) said he is closer to “tackling the money trail,” Crosby noted.
“That’s why we need this additional authority because the information is not forthcoming,” Perry said of the impeachment inquiry.

“We’re going to have to request it, likely under subpoena,” Perry said.
“But remember, we have an FBI informant who’s a trusted informant who says that President Biden is involved in extortion in Ukraine,” he added. “The value of that extortion was $5 million to Hunter and $5 million to Joe Biden. That money is sitting somewhere, and we need to find out where that is.”
Over on X, other Republican lawmakers echoed Perry’s praise of the impeachment inquiry.
“We continue to discover more and more evidence every single week in our investigation of President Biden and his family,” said Oversight Committee member Rep. Russell Fry (R-S.C.). “@HouseGOP’s impeachment inquiry will allow us to continue to follow the facts and put together the truth for the American people.”
“President Biden has hidden his lies for decades, but now we’re uncovering them all,” wrote Rep. Lisa McClain (R-Mich.). The American people deserve the truth, and the House is going to bring it to light.

Speaking to reporters on Friday, Perry dismissed the notion that Republicans are seeking “political revenge” on the Democrats.
“This isn’t about political revenge,” he stated. “We have the bank accounts.
“Ma’am, you can see that the homes that the Bidens own can’t be afforded on a Congressional or Senate salary,” he told a reporter. “You also understand that it’s not normal for family members to receive millions of dollars from overseas interests.”
“Those things aren’t normal,” Perry said. “It’s not normal to have 20 shell companies. These things are not normal, and it alludes to, not only just widespread corruption, but money laundering, if not influence peddling itself.”
