Already a poster child for the foreign ingrates who have overrun Minneapolis, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) continues to make the case for why she has no place in Congress, let alone America, a country she obviously despises.
On Friday, the Somalia-born “Squad” member was joined by another foreign interloper, Rep. Pramila Jayapal (R-Wash.) and other Democrats at a hearing in the Twin Cities, the scene of a tense standoff over the federal government’s ability to enforce federal immigration policy by deporting criminal illegal aliens.
At one point during an angry diatribe about Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the hijab-clad lawmaker declared that she is “ashamed” of the “U.S. goddamn states” because ICE agents are doing their jobs.
🔥 JUST NOW — Rep. @Ilhan lights up complicit Republicans: “Those of us who escaped places like that, the one place we thought we would never experience this is the united Goddamn states… I am ashamed. And we must do all we can to bring back the 🇺🇸 we all escaped into. pic.twitter.com/S7rAJIx2Zp

Omar railed against her Republican colleagues about the death of Renee Good, the lesbian activist who allegedly tried to run over an ICE agent with an SUV last week and was shot, sparking the Democrat-led insurrection in Minneapolis. She also decried the idea that ICE is checking the identification of suspected illegals.
“It is appalling for them to be ok, for there to be checkpoints in American cities where people are asked for their papers, and it is appalling for Americans to have to carry their citizen papers only to be told they are not sure that those papers are correct,” she raged.
“I don’t want to curse, but those of us who escaped places like that,” Omar continued as she raised her finger in the air while Jayapal looked on approvingly. “The one place we thought we would never experience this is the U.S. goddamn states.”
“And we should all be ashamed that it is the United States that is allowing for this to take place, and it is being forecasted, and broadcasted to the rest of the world, where people are calling us saying, ‘Are you sure, this is America?’ I am ashamed,” she said.
The “ashamed” congresswoman’s remarks had some X users suggesting that if she hates the “U.S. goddamn states” so much, she can go back to Somalia.
She has repeatedly said that Somalia is so great and her allegiance is to Somalia, so she should just go back there.

We can get back to the America she escaped to by kicking her ass back to Somalia.

@Ilhan is the ultimate ingrate, has never once said thank you for this opportunity to be an American citizen .
I say kick her out of the country.— Nancy (@sooo_nance) January 17, 2026
This is a free country she can go back to Somalia any day. I bet people would gladly pack her belongings and drive her to the airport.

She didn’t “escape” she was rescued. Free to leave at any time.

I have a place for that finger she keeps pointing

Some may find her remarks shocking, but the ethically-challenged congresswoman who reportedly married her brother to gain entry to the U.S. clearly hates America and only tolerates her adopted country as long as what DHS Secretary Kristi Noem referred to as foreign “leeches, and entitlement junkies” are allowed to suck money out of American taxpayers while they refuse to assimilate and keep breeding. She has repeatedly trashed America since her election to represent “Little Mogadishu” in Congress while praising her ancestral homeland.
“What SCUM we have in our Country, telling us what to do, and how to do it,” President Donald Trump said of Omar last year.
