’I’ll be moaning for you all day…’: Teacher accused of raping boy, 14, sent him SICK messages

A Queens middle school teacher who has been charged with raping a 14-year-old boy reportedly took advantage of him by exploiting his trust.

“I feel like she took advantage of me because of my age and I was vulnerable with her. I felt comfortable with her. I’m smart but I don’t make good decisions. I work off of impulse. If someone says let’s go do something, I’d say all right, let’s go do it,” the unnamed victim told the New York Post this week.

The problems for the teen started when he emailed his teacher, 33-year-old Melissa Rockensies, about an issue he had with another student.

“The mother of three soon began messaging him on Instagram, he claimed, and over the course of almost a year fired off a barrage of depraved messages, which she then urged him to delete,” according to the Post.

Below are some of the texts she reportedly sent him:

  • “You’re gonna be lucky once I put this kid to sleep.” (she was referencing her own kids)
  • “I want you so bad and now I gotta go read kids books like …wtf.”
  • “Study up on your technique and I’ll be moaning for you all day and all night daddyy.”
  • “I wanna be able to kiss those lips of yours.”
  • “Oh and delete the chat okay love you byeeeeeeee.”

According to the teen, he was stunned when Rockensies first abused him.

It started last September, when, after hundreds of emails and texts had been exchanged, she suggested they meet up in person at a nearby grocery store.

Afterward, they reportedly went on a walk together, during which Rockensies hugged the teen boy “really close” and said “she wanted to kiss me.”

“This came out of nowhere. I wasn’t expecting it because she said she has a husband and stuff. I felt weird like I had to hug her back. I hugged her. I kissed her. That’s how it started,” the teen recalled to the Post.

“She’d tell me where to go to meet her, where the car is parked. Every time we’d meet up, we’d have sex,” he added, further noting that they met up almost everyday except for Wednesday, when “she had to watch the kids.”

The abuse also included money and gifts such as “nicotine devices,” as reported by the Post. This is presumably a reference to e-cigarettes?

“Most of the time she [gave] me money. The most she ever gave me was $500,” the unnamed boy said.

But she later tried to turn the tables on him by telling the school principal that he’d threatened to kill her family if she didn’t give him $5,000.

“After the threats were reported to authorities, the teen said he went to the police and showed them their sexually explicit messages. The teen’s grandmother said she was disgusted by the abuse,” the Post notes.

“They are making him out to be the monster and he is not. The victim is my grandson. He is a minor. She is old enough to know better,” the grandmother said.

Rockensies has since been charged with rape, criminal sexual act, and acting in a manner injurious to a child less than 17 years old.

“The charges included allegations that Rockensies exchanged sexual social media messages with the victim, and met with him for sex in her car,” according to the Post.

She faces a maximum of seven years in prison if convicted.

Rockensies previously went viral for publishing a Facebook post in October of 2021 about “helping kids understand consent.”

She was formally arrested last Monday.

“This alleged behavior is extremely concerning and wholly unacceptable. This employee has been reassigned away from the school and students pending the outcome of the arrest and if convicted, we will pursue termination. Nothing is more important than the safety and well-being of our students,” a Department of Education spokesperson told Gothamist.

Rockensies’ husband, William, has for his part denied his wife’s guilty and claimed that she’s innocent.

“My wife is innocent. She’s the mother of three kids. She loves them very much. She’s been a big part of the community at her school. We all support her. We’re saying she’s innocent. I won’t elaborate any further why,” he said.

All this comes the same week that another Queens school employee — teaching assistant Jamall Russell, 29 — was arrested “and charged with rape, sexual abuse and child endangerment for having a relationship with an underage girl,” according to Gothamist.
