Michael Cohen whines that Trump was allowed to ‘roll up like he’s Caesar’ for Fulton County jail booking

Former President Donald Trump’s disgraced ex-attorney took a new slant on the left’s guilty until proven innocent views as he seethed the arrival at Fulton County Jail.

Disbarred over felony convictions, Michael Cohen, the once personal attorney of Trump, seemed to present an enduring grudge as analyzed Saturday when he appeared on MSNBC’s “Velshi.” Speaking with the eponymous host, Ali Velshi, the former lawyer found particular fault in the lasting security detail of the president, likened to “Caesar.”

“I was appalled, to be honest with you, watching the news and watching how Donald was brought to the Fulton County Jail,” he expressed over the extensive motorcades that had been utilized to convey Trump from Bedminster, New Jersey to the jail in Georgia where he surrendered Thursday.

“Forty motorcade in New Jersey. Forty motorcade in Georgia. Why?” asked Cohen, disregarding the Former Presidents Protection Act that, in 2012, had reinstated lifetime U.S. Secret Service protection after it had been limited to 10 years post-presidency in 1994.

“He’s nothing more than an indicted defendant,” asserted the convicted felon.

“How much money did it cost the American taxpayer? How much money did it cost the people of Atlanta in order to put all the police officers, for what? For this man to roll up like he’s, you know, Caesar coming through the gates of Rome after a victory?” railed Cohen before reiterating and expanding “He is an indicted defendant on 91 counts. He should not be given this sort of royal treatment.”

Others equally enamored with the take that Trump was assuredly guilty in each of the cases and not overtly faced with a political persecution, heaped on to the disbarred lawyer’s take with one going so far as to argue allowing him to post bond was an example of “the 2 tier justice system.”

“Whenever I see those ridiculous motorcades escorting that orange demon, I think there are several former presidents alive and I never hear or see anything about their travels to & from places. Are they all escorted like this?” one wondered as another declared, “Agree 100%, this royal treatment’ of a motorcade must cease immediately. It’s a disgusting misuse of taxpayer funding.”

Noticeably absent from the concerns of the leading voices among the Trump Derangement Syndrome sufferers were any vocalized laments about the amount of taxpayer money that had been wasted for the two impeachments of the president, the sham January 6 committee or any of a number of similar attacks against his administration by the Democrats.

Meanwhile, Cohen is facing a federal lawsuit from Trump who had alleged in April that the former lawyer had violated the attorney-client relationship and breached fiduciary duties, a matter seeking $500 million in restitution. A deposition from the president had reportedly been scheduled for Sept. 6 according to NBC News.
