‘I’ll be right there marching…’ Eric Adams trolls Mamdani after he boycotted Israel Day Parade

Former New York City Mayor Eric Adams is trolling his successor by vowing to attend the Israel Day Parade.

Adams took to social media to declare that he will be attending the 2026 Israel Day Parade on May 31, as he did for the four years that he was in office.

“Hello New Yorkers! This Sunday, May 31st, Fifth Avenue will once again become a sea of blue and white as thousands of proud New Yorkers come together to celebrate the unbreakable bond between New York and Israel,” he said. “As your mayor, I was proud to march in this parade for all four years I was in office. And this year will be no different. I’ll be right there marching with tens of thousands of New Yorkers.”

“For decades, the Israeli Day Parade has been one of the greatest expressions of unity, pride and strength in our city. With people from every borough, every faith, and every background standing proudly with New York’s Jewish community,” he added. “This year will be no different, as members of the Muslim, Christian, and so many other religious communities join the march.”

“But this year, it means even more. At a time when antisemitism is rising across our country and Jewish New Yorkers are facing hatred, intimidation and attacks at unprecedented levels, you cannot afford silence,” the former mayor continued. “New York City has always been a place where people stand up for one another. And when one community is targeted, we stand together as one city. So this Sunday, come march with me on Fifth Avenue. Let’s show the world that New York City will always stand with the Jewish community as they have always stood with us.”

This pledge comes as current New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, a Muslim, has said he will not be attending the parade.

“While I will not be attending the Israel Day Parade, my lack of attendance should not be mistaken for a refusal to provide security or the necessary permits for its safety,” Mamdani said. “I’ve been very clear: I believe in equal rights for all people — everywhere. That principle guides me consistently.”
