‘I’m going to McDonalds’: Trump jabs Kamala over alleged job at Mickey D’s

Former President Donald Trump was campaigning in Savannah, Georgia, on Tuesday, advocating for his economic policies when he took a humorous jab at Democratic nominee Kamala Harris over her alleged job at McDonald’s.

“Remember, one other thing, and I think it’s terrible, she lied about McDonald’s — said, ‘I was a worker at McDonald’s’… I’m going to McDonald’s and I’m gonna stand over the French fries because I wanna see what her job really wasn’t like,” Trump quipped.

Harris has claimed that she worked at McDonald’s while completing her undergraduate degree, but Snopes admitted “there was no tangible evidence of Harris working at McDonald’s as a college student.”

Rating the claim as “unproven,” the liberal fact-checker site added: “We reached out to Harris’ campaign, as well as McDonald’s headquarters, seeking tax records or other proof — which could include photos or videos of her working at the restaurant, employment records or physical items such as a uniform or name tag.”

The Democratic nominee never listed the job on a résumé or on a 1987 job application she submitted to the Alameda County District Attorney’s office. In fact, she did not speak about the job until 2019 when she ran for president, according to various reports

On a more serious note, Trump slammed Harris for other “lies,” citing the debunked “fine people on both sides” remark about Charlottesville and the remark about a “bloodbath” if he is not elected in November, which was dishonestly taken entirely out of context.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on Elon Musk’s free speech platform X:
