Vice President Kamala Harris’ by-any-means-necessary policy push found one senator firmly opposed to endorsing her anti-filibuster stance that could “destroy our country.”
Be it a Trojan Horse or merely a stepping stone on the path to advancing Marxism, the Democratic Party presidential nominee continued to hinge her campaign on abortion. Couched in the language of “choice” and “reproductive freedom,” the candidate crying over threats to democracy crossed a line with her willingness to abandon democracy, a stance that West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin (I) could not endorse.
“Shame on her,” the lawmaker was cited as saying by CNN’s chief congressional correspondent Manu Raju. “She knows the filibuster is the Holy Grail of democracy. It’s the only thing that keeps us talking and working together. If she gets rid of that, then this would be the House on steroids.”
New — Joe Manchin, a staunch defender of the filibuster, tells us he WON’T endorse Kamala Harris now over her vow to gut the filibuster to codify Roe.

In one of her rare interviews, Harris reiterated to Wisconsin Public Radio Monday, “I’ve been very clear, I think we should eliminate the filibuster for Roe, and get us to the point where 51 votes would be what we need to actually put back in law the protections for reproductive freedom and for the ability of every person and every woman to make decisions about their own body and not have their government tell them what to do.”
“That ain’t going to happen,” asserted Manchin who, having left the Democratic Party, opted against seeking re-election this year. “I think that basically can destroy our country and my country is more important to me than any one person or any one person’s ideology…I think it’s the most horrible thing.”
Senate Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) previously signaled that a federal effort to make Roe v. Wade the law of the land wouldn’t be the only measure the left would seek to ram through the upper chamber with a scant majority as the green agenda and “voting rights” were also in the mix along with upending the status quo of the Supreme Court.
Harris’ position against requiring the 60-vote threshold on abortion reached Arizona as well where another outgoing lawmaker, Sen. Krysten Sinema (I) reacted, “To state the supremely obvious, eliminating the filibuster to codify Roe v Wade also enables a future Congress to ban all abortion nationwide. What an absolutely terrible, shortsighted idea.”
Her stance prompted an agreement from Arizona’s Republican Senate nominee Kari Lake who called out her Democrat opponent, Rep. Ruben Gallego, as she wrote on X, “[Krysten Sinema is right here. The filibuster is the minority party’s way of stopping the majority from shoving radical ideas like Defund the Police, the Green New Deal, and packing the Supreme Court down America’s throats.”
“Radical Ruben Gallego would blow up the filibuster and eliminate the small amount of bipartisanship that still exists in Washington today,” added Lake. “As you next Senator, I will defend it.”

For standing up against the leftists that do away with negotiations in favor pushing their agenda, former President Donald Trump lauded Manchin and wrote on Truth Social, “Congratulations to Senator Joe Manchin for not endorsing Radical Kamala Harris because of her DEATH WISH for the Filibuster and the Rule of Law. Joe knows that only the 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, can protect our Country, our People, and Make America Great Again!”
