‘I’m re-famous!’ Rosie O’Donnell admits the hilarious truth, Trump made her relevant again

Rosie O’Donnell sat down with actress Amy Poehler, where she admitted the president is the reason she’s “re-famous.”

The pair filmed the latest episode of Poehler’s podcast, Good Hang, where the comedian explained that she feels like President Donald Trump is the reason she’s currently receiving any attention.

Watch:

“I feel like recently I’m re-famous. “That’s what I feel. I told my kids, ‘Well, kids, hold on ’cause mommy’s re-famous.’ I don’t know how it happened. I think it’s Mango Mussolini,” she said. “I think it’s him who did it. He didn’t know. If he knew how much he was helping my career and my life, he would shut up about me because, you know, he’s a horrible creature.”

Indeed, O’Donnell had largely fallen into irrelevance before she began going viral for her harsh and sometimes unhinged critiques of the president. She even went as far as to flee to Ireland, citing her fear of Trump’s leadership.

“It’s not easy to move to another country, and we really felt as a family this was the safest and best thing for us to do,” she said in March of last year.

Several months later, the president publicly considered revoking O’Donnell’s United States citizenship following the move, calling her out in a dramatic Truth Social post.

Look:

“Because of the fact that Rosie O’Donnell is not in the best interests of our Great Country, I am giving serious consideration to taking away her Citizenship. She is a Threat to Humanity, and should remain in the wonderful Country of Ireland, if they want her. GOD BLESS AMERICA!” Trump wrote.

While this is not something that ever came to fruition, it reveals how deeply the rift between the pair goes.
