After promising America she would “release the Kraken” and expose what she assured voters was widespread fraud in the 2020 elections, attorney Sidney Powell pleaded guilty to six counts of conspiracy to commit intentional interference with performance of election duties in Georgia’s dubious RICO case.
In a stunning blow to Donald Trump, Powell has agreed to testify against the former president and her other co-defendants should she be called upon to do so, Reuters reports.
It’s a shocking 180 from the woman who, in 2020, declared, “President Trump won by a landslide” and vowed, “We are going to prove it.”
“We will not be intimidated…We are going to clean this mess up now. President Trump won by a landslide. We are going to prove it. And we are going to reclaim the United States of America for the people who vote for freedom.”—Sidney Powell pic.twitter.com/8KCEOGuL7w

In exchange for her guilty plea, “Fulton County prosecutors are recommending a sentence of six years probation,” CNN reports. “Powell will also be required to testify at future trials, write an apology letter to the citizens of Georgia, pay nearly $9,000 in restitution and fines and turn over documents.”

CNN continues:
Powell admitted taking actions after the 2020 election “for the purpose of willfully tampering with electronic ballot markers and tabulating machines” and “with the intention of taking and appropriating information, data, and software, the property of Dominion Voting Systems Corporation,” according to new court filings.
She is also admitting to hiring a data forensics firm and sending its employees to Coffee County so they could unlawfully access government computers with the purpose of “examining personal voter data, with knowledge that such examination was without authority,” according to the filings.
According to CNN justice and crime reporter Katelyn Polantz, Powell is now “very likely to become a witness against Donald Trump.”
“It’s significant that not only is she avoiding the trial, not only is she putting in this guilty plea that she is very likely to become a witness against Donald Trump and the others as they go to trial in Georgia,” Polantz said. “And there’s a lot here at stake, not only in Georgia, but also in the federal court in D.C., where another criminal case against the former president exists and where Sidney Powell has been identified as a top coconspirator there.”
“And so what this means for Donald Trump going forward is it’s not good for him to have people pleading and agreeing to cooperate with prosecutors, whether it’s at the federal level or state level,” she continued. “So having Sidney Powell agreeing to testify is quite a significant step forward for the prosecutors in Georgia, as well as potentially any other prosecutors who are bringing and trying to prosecute cases against Donald Trump at trial.”

Attorney Molly McCann Sanders, formerly of counsel with Powell, maintained that Powell is “innocent,” but believes she “made the right decision.”
“Sidney Powell is absolutely innocent,” she wrote on X. “The fact that Fani Willis dropped all 7 felonies tells the tale. She had no case, but she did have the coercive power of the state.”
She pointed to the liberal jury Powell would have faced had she gone to trial.
“Criminal prosecution is crushing, and it has become clear that juries are no longer the protection to unjust prosecution they were created to be,” she said. “Juries in these Democrat strongholds convict political opponents. It’s that chilling and simple. And the process of a trial alone is, as I say, crushing.”
“She hasn’t ‘flipped,'” McCann Sanders stated of Powell’s plea deal. “She has made the right decision for herself and her family.”
“The rest of us should be very afraid, though,” she warned. “Why should any successful lawyer put his or her head above the foxhole in future election struggles if the weaponized state can manufacture crimes to destroy them after the fact?”
“My heart is heavy, because Sidney is a wonderful patriot and did not commit any crime,” McCann Sanders wrote. “But I am also happy she can be done with this and come home to all of us who love her and can’t wait to hug her.”

Still, people are finding what they see as a coerced deal “disgusting.”
Molly, this is absolutely disgusting. The power of the state is unmatched. I need her release the Kraken.

She didn’t deserve any of this.
