Leave it to California Dem Ted Lieu to pick one of the weakest arguments ever to slam President Trump.
Marco Rubio spent the day slaying Democrats who were primarily focused on personal slams against President Trump instead of substantive issues during a House Foreign Affairs hearing on Wednesday.
From bizarre allegations about his shoes to ‘five-minute’ accusatory lectures posing as questions, Rubio hit back time and time again, at one point wondering if he was sitting in a ‘dunk tank.’
“What is this? Is this a dunk tank?”

When it was Lieu’s turn to take the stage, he did not disappoint in his effort to derail the hearing with baseless claims that Trump has been sleeping on the job.
“If Donald Trump can not stay awake during these important meetings, where cameras are rolling, imagine what he’s like when the cameras are not there,” Lieu said before Rubio lit into him with well-known facts about Trump’s sleeping habits.

“Is this a joke!?” Rubio shot back. “This is a Foreign Affairs Committee you’re asking about SLEEP … Absurd and ridiculous. I can’t believe we’re in a Foreign Affairs Committee with questions about someone who thinks he’s a medical expert when he’s NOT!
“We had a cognitively impaired president for 4 years. This president is a guy that literally doesn’t sleep, works long hours every day. I talk to him day and night; HE WORKS INHUMANE HOURS. I’ve been on trips where he doesn’t sleep the whole flight, he’s wandering the hallways to wake people up and talk to! He has an incredible amount of energy.”
