A winning trip to the golf course over the weekend included a crack at the competition from President Donald Trump: “It’s called TALENT …”
In between a cabinet meeting at Camp David and reminding the Islamist regime in Iran that the U.S. military is “locked and loaded” on par with World War II, the commander-in-chief swung by his New Jersey golf club for a competition. There, he not only celebrated victory, but his own superiority as well, boasting about “very little time to practice.”
Sharing a clip from his play at the Trump National Golf Club Bedminster with a signature red cap on reading “4 MORE YEARS,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, “The Winning Shot in the Bedminster Club Championship! Thank you very much to all of those who participated. I won with a score of 70, and am so honored that, unlike the rest of the field, I’m given very little time to practice, because I’m focused on many other things.”
“It’s called TALENT,” he added, “and I have it, and they don’t!”
Walking away with trophies for both the senior division and super senior division, Trump’s victory with a score 2-under par was said to be his 40th club championship.
OutKick’s Alejandro Avila added perspective on the president’s score, writing, “In NFL terms, it’s like watching Joe Namath throw a 40-yard touchdown pass in 2026.”
He went on to add, “The same critics who swore he couldn’t physically play are going to lose their collective minds over this scorecard. They’ll assign investigative journalists to measure divots, demand official audits from club pros, or whine about gimme putts.”
“Meanwhile, Trump walks away with trophy number 40, leaving the media to do what they do best: cope,” the writer concluded.
Sharing in the experience, U.S. Ambassador to Ireland Edward Walsh posted pictures from the course a week before professionals were set to descend upon the Garden State with the caption, “Great day of golf with @POTUS in Bedminster, NJ ahead of the @livgolf_league!”

Of course, while the 80-year-old president took a bit of personal time, he did not lose sight of the duties of his office. Ahead of announcing that another planned attack on Iran was paused, Trump was seen in his golfing attire shaking hands with servicemen currently in New Jersey.

Saturday evening, the commander-in-chief asserted in a statement, “The U.S.A. is locked and loaded and ready to go against the Islamic Republic of Iran, at levels of Military Terror, Strength, and Power not seen since World War II. Despite this, we have just been asked by Iran, and other Middle Eastern Countries, to hold off any attack in that perimeters of a deal has been agreed to.”
Trump went on to note this would include clear passage through the Strait of Hormuz and the “end to Iran’s nuclear threat.” He also indicated that Israel was on board with the U.S. “in this commitment” to hold off on an attack in favor of a deal.
