Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott have managed to make the invasion of millions of illegal immigrants a front page story by giving blue states a taste of their own medicine, even if the stories from the media that has largely ignored the lawless open border under the Biden administration are crafted to denounce the two Republican governors.
Ironically, President Joe Biden, the man single-handedly responsible for what the Federation for American Immigration Reform estimated to be 4.9 million illegal immigrants having crossed into the United States since he took office some 20 months ago, called the busing of migrants to Democrat-run areas “reckless” and un-American.”
Speaking at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Gala, Biden accused DeSantis and Abbott of using migrants as “props.”
“Republicans are playing politics with human beings, using them as props. What they’re doing is simply wrong, it’s un-American, it’s reckless,” he said.
“And we have a process in place to manage migrants at the border. We’re working to make sure it’s safe and orderly and humane,” Biden continued. “Republican officials should not interfere with that process by waging these political stunts.”
The claim that there is a “process in place” is laughable given that the overwhelmed southern border sees thousands of crossings DAILY. As for safe and humane, the lawless open border enriches Mexican drug cartels and evokes massive human suffering, including widespread rape of migrants as young as 12 and death. Hundreds of migrants die making the dangerous journey to America and record amounts of fentanyl flowing across the border are resulting in thousands of overdose deaths in the U.S.
Biden’s solution to the problem follows the familiar Democratic script of creating a crisis that is then exploited to advance its political agenda, with the president calling on Senate Republicans to negotiate with Democrats to create a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants — a move history has already proven only entices more illegal immigration.
On Thursday, two buses from Del Rio, Texas, totaling over 100 illegal immigrants, arrived near Vice President Kamala Harris’s residence at the Naval Observatory in Washington, D.C., this coming on the heels of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis sending two planes full of migrants who entered the country illegally to Martha’s Vineyard on Wednesday.
While overrun border towns get no sympathy, the media was quick to denounce the actions, with NBC anchor Chuck Todd, a reliable Democratic Party mouthpiece, saying on Thursday it was “inhumane” to send migrants to Martha’s Vineyard because the tony island “doesn’t have any infrastructure.”
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre pushed a similar theme, calling the practice “cruel” and “disrespectful to humanity.”
“It’s really just disrespectful to humanity. It is — it doesn’t afford them any dignity, what they’re doing, when you’re abandoning families and children in a place where they were told they were going to get housing, in a place where they were told they were going to get jobs,” Jean-Pierre said. “It is just cruel.”
The president’s overmatched spokesperson also blamed Donald Trump for a crisis of their own making when asked during Thursday’s daily briefing about whether Americans believe that the border is secure.
“What I can tell you is the record and the process that we have been using to make sure that we do our best to secure the border,” she said. “We do our best to make sure that we fix a broken system that was left behind by the last administration.”
They should really drug test this woman.

The diversity hire was asked in a follow-up how is it human and safe in overwhelmed border towns and she cited fiction as fact to again blame the Trump administration — never mind that there was a major drop in illegal immigration traffic under Trump.
“So, again, it is a broke- — a broken system, the immigration system,” Jean-Pierre said. “And it was decimated by the last administration. That is a fact; it was decimated by the last administration.”
