Former President Donald Trump was notably absent at a celebration for his granddaughter over the weekend as daughter Ivanka Trump shared Bat Mitzvah moments with an honorable mention to her indicted father.
Arabella Rose Kushner, the 11-year-old daughter of Ivanka and Jared Kushner, was joined by her aunts, uncles and cousins to celebrate her coming-of-age ahead of her 12th birthday. With a lengthy post and a slew of photos, the proud mother marked her daughter’s milestone by reflecting on her charity among other traits.
“With an abundance of love and immense pride, Jared and I celebrated our daughter Arabella’s Bat Mitzvah this past weekend,” Ivanka wrote Monday. “We reflect on the weekend with full hearts and an abundance of joy and gratitude.”

“From her commitment to feeding hungry families through the Jewish Community Service Kosher Food Bank to supporting children with special needs through her work volunteering with the Friendship Circle and Whispering Manes, Arabella’s giving heart and commitment to making a positive impact embodies the spirit of this special milestone,” she continued.
“We couldn’t be prouder of the extraordinary young woman she has become,” the mother of three noted. “Her kindness, creativity, humor, empathy and passion have filled our lives with so much joy and inspiration. May her Bat Mitzvah be the beginning of a beautiful and fulfilling chapter in her life.”

While the former president had made clear early on in his campaign that he had “specifically asked” Jared and Ivanka to sit out of politics this go-round because of the “too mean and nasty” corporate media and “absolutely horrendous SleazeBags in the world of politics, and beyond,” it was unclear if his appearances speaking in Georgia and North Carolina were the cause of his absence, or if it related to his federal indictment.
Either way, it seemed as though it may have been known in advance that the family patriarch would not be present as Ivanka posted images of a birthday celebration from weeks earlier featuring the president and Melania Trump with the message, “Thank you Dad and Melania for throwing Arabella the sweetest birthday dinner at Mar-a-lago a few weeks ago in advance of her Bat Mitzvah! It was very special. We love you both so much!”

Alongside her brothers, Theodore and Joseph, Arabella was also seen posing with Don Jr., Eric and Tiffany Trump as well as their significant others, Kimberly Guilfoyle, Lara Trump and Michael Boulos.

Though not indicated, by Ivanka, family members had tagged the gold club and resort Trump National Doral Miami in their images where the president had arrived Monday ahead of his Tuesday appearance in Miami, Florida federal court related to his possession of documents marked classified for which he faces 37 felony charges.
