Trump explains why Ivanka, Jared aren’t in his 2024 campaign: ‘Specifically asked them not to do it’

As corporate media continues to avert their eyes from stories that could possibly paint President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden in a poor light, the same cannot be true for former President Donald Trump and his kids as he once again had to set the record straight when it comes to dealing with “SleazeBags” and what he “specifically asked” of his family.

In the coming weeks and months, the race for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination is expected to begin in earnest as other candidates will likely announce their challenge to Trump. Since his campaign began in November, the notable absence of his daughter and son-in-law, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, has drawn speculation and criticism and the president seemed to be getting ahead of future repetition of unsubstantiated claims with a scathing rebuke of the “Fake & Corrupt News.”

Taking to Truth Social Monday, Trump posted, “Contrary to Fake News reporting, I never asked Jared or Ivanka to be part of the 2024 Campaign for President and, in fact, specifically asked them not to do it — too mean and nasty with the Fake & Corrupt News and having to deal with some absolutely horrendous SleazeBags in the world of politics, and beyond. There has never been anything like this ‘ride’ before, and they should not be further subjected to it. I ran twice, getting millions more Votes the second time (RIGGED), & am doing it again!”

Without any recent mentions, the Truth appeared to many to be in response to an article published by the New York Post the day before his campaign announcement that suggested, “‘Javanka’ seem to want no part of Trump 2024.”

According to the outlet, Trump had spent time during his youngest daughter Tiffany’s wedding the weekend ahead of his announcement trying to convince Jared and Ivanka to join him on stage. “So far,” it was written at the time, “the man known for ‘The Art of the Deal’ has not closed this one.”

The Post cited an “insider” that claimed, “Trump thought he could convince Ivanka this weekend to come back and campaign for him as she was the most requested speaker after the president himself last time around … but so far she’s resisting his entreaties and holding firm, as is Jared. They both feel they got burned in Washington and don’t want to go back and expose themselves and their children to another bitter campaign.”

Meanwhile, Ivanka had issued her own statement at the time of her father’s campaign announcement that refuted neither the Post nor the president’s side of the story though it did confirm that she would be putting her family before politics as she said, “I love my father very much. This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family. I do not plan to be involved in politics. While I will always love and support my father, going forward I will do so outside the political arena. I am grateful to have had the honor of serving the American people and I will always be proud of many of our Administration’s accomplishments.”
