A pink slip primary found a Texas lawmaker retreading “racism” with a warning about who holds more sway over black voters.
“… there is a reckoning that this party needs to have.”
Like collecting properties in Monopoly, the Democrats have longed to turn Texas blue as a means to dominate the electoral vote board. After her own Senate campaign flopped as arguably antithetical to that end, a seemingly jilted Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D) spoke to her intention to drive enthusiasm for black candidates of her choosing while calling out her own party.
Appearing on “Front Page” with Mimi Brown, the ousted lawmaker was presented with a clip of her former opponent, Senate nominee and Texas state Rep. James Talarico (D), on “The Breakfast Club” where he reiterated it isn’t his view that Crockett isn’t electable in a statewide election.
In response, the congresswoman presented and then batted down a suggestion that she has an “underground railroad” telling black voters what to do, and stated, “I, frankly, stopped doing as many TV interviews because I, I don’t wanna talk about the race, to be perfectly honest. And the reasons that I don’t is because right now people just need to focus on whatever it’s gonna take to win. But there is a reckoning that this party needs to have. There isn’t, you know — the racism was very clear.”

She further asserted that “misinformation,” “disinformation” and “online bullying bullsh*t” were in part responsible for her loss by more than 140,000 votes — over 6% — moments before peddling her own influence over black voters.
“In my mind, the best way that I can help the people of Texas is if I go in and I help out on these down-ballot races,” Crockett told Brown as she pointed to the Talarico at the top of the ticket as a detriment for black candidates in elections throughout the Lone Star State. “I personally don’t feel like the excitement necessarily exists within the black community, right? Right now, like that’s — I don’t feel like they’re excited, right?”
“But I do have some amazing black candidates that are running for office in some of the largest counties. So, if I can introduce black fold to them, that may excite them and get them to the polls,” she suggested.

To recap, the politician known for ranting about alleged “white supremacy” contends “racism” lost her the primary and now appears to intend to stump exclusively for black candidates to an audience of black voters while calling for a “reckoning” for the Democratic Party.
Rather than the positive Crockett seemed to think she was offering for her cause, reactions argued the ousted lawmaker would ultimately be the one to prove a detriment for Democrats in Texas while also suggesting an ulterior motive was at play.
My guess is that she will make enough noise to extract a pledge for the party to support her in some other race, land her a media gig, or, God forbid, a role in a Democrat administration.
She’s using this to advance her ambitions, that much is clear.

She should never be in politics again. She’s going to cost him the election

Well I personally feel like Jasmine needs out of politics because her ego is more important than her country. This Texas dem will never support her in a primary now. Never.

Crockett doesn’t have as much power as she think she does. She thinks that she has Obama level influence over black people.

One of the most narcissistic, selfish and deranged politicians in America right now is Jasmine Crockett of Texas. Such a delusional, self-obsessed moron should never be elected by anyone, anywhere.

Yes, the racism is clear, and it came from you. You tried every black identity racism card and it didn’t work. Clearly.
