The latest indictment of the left’s immigration initiative, often described as suicidal empathy in its emphasis on refugees and other marginalized groups, can be seen in an action taken by the United Arab Emirates.
The UAB has stripped state funding for citizens seeking to study in the United Kingdom out of fear of Emirati students being radicalized by Muslim Brotherhood Islamists at British universities.
You can gauge just how bizarre this development is from Vice President JD Vance’s response on X: “Absolutely insane headline.”

“Some of our best Muslim allies in the Gulf think the Islamist indoctrination in certain parts of the West is too dangerous,” Vance said in a follow-up post.
Excluding British universities from UAB state scholarships “reflects growing friction between the two countries over the UK’s refusal to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization,” according to The Jewish Chronicle.
“Official UK figures show that during the 2023-2024 academic year, 70 students at British universities were flagged for potential referral to the government’s Prevent deradicalization program over signs of Islamist radicalization – almost twice as many as the year before,” the newspaper reported.
As of the 2021/2022 censuses, there were reportedly around 4 million Muslims in the UK, accounting for 6.0% of the total population. An estimated 43% of all migrants to the UK between mid-2010 and mid-2016 were Muslims, according to the Pew Research Center, which estimates that by 2050, roughly 17% of the UK population will be Muslim.
A 2024 YouGov survey commissioned by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community found that four in 10 Britons think Muslim immigrants are having a negative impact on the country.
For the record, President Donald Trump announced in November 2025 that the United States will begin a process to designate Muslim Brotherhood branches as terrorist organizations.
“The Muslim Brotherhood and its branches encourage, facilitate, and provide resources for conducting jihadist terrorism across the world. They are committed to overthrowing the United States and the governments of our allies,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R) said at the time.
There’s also a strong argument that liberal immigration policies are part of a stealth effort to “steer away” from the Judeo-Christian values that have long defined Western countries. Values like human dignity, natural rights, rule of law, self-determination, and personal responsibility, which laid the foundation for the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
It’s because the UAE knows the threat and doesn’t have a fat green haired slob breathing down your neck telling you its racist to target this group

One wonders if the British left will start call the UAE, a Muslim country, Islamophobic?
— Michael A. Arouet (@MichaelAArouet) January 9, 2026
The Muslim brotherhood needs to be dismantled in this country.

Woah… that’s very telling. Notice how the high class and wealthy Muslim nations don’t have a terror problem. They immediately arrest and handle radical islamists.
Maybe we should do the same in the USA?
