Jean-Pierre’s cringe pep-talk on how gas prices are falling to $4 a gallon: ‘This is so exciting, guys’

Few things hit American families harder than the price of gas, with soaring prices destroying the budgets of those who live paycheck to paycheck. The extra money spent on filling the tank, a necessity for so many to simply remain employed, takes precedent over most other expenses to include, in many cases, putting food on the table.

Yet, the reaction from the Biden administration to gas prices that soared on average above $5 a gallon for the fist time in American history makes it easy to surmise that Democrats, in their quest for green energy, are intentionally inflicting this pain on millions of Americans.

Look no further than an odd video shared by White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, who talked about how “exciting” it is that gas prices are now around $4 a gallon, given how high they were just a few short weeks ago.

“In more than 20,000 gas stations just across the country, as you’ll see in this graph, you will see gas prices less than $4, Jean-Pierre said. “At current prices, the average American driver will spend about $25 per month less on gasoline than they would have if prices had stayed at their June peak.”

“But gas prices aren’t coming down at the same pace as declining oil prices,” Jean-Pierre added, before essentially accusing mom-and-pop gas station owners of price gouging.

“So while oil prices have decreased by about 20% since their June peak, as I was just talking about earlier, prices at the pump have only fallen about 10% over the same period,” she stated. “So that means profits are up way above average. Refiners’ profit margins per gallon of gas are averaging about 90 cents last week, roughly double what’s typical for this time of the year.”

It’s clear that Democrats are taking a beating in the polls over fuel prices and are trying to push back with a propaganda campaign, but the tell tale sign that this is all smoke and mirrors is that President Biden is STILL trying to blame Russian President Vladimir Putin with his inane “Putin price hike” talking points rather than altering his policies that had prices rising long before the invasion of Ukraine.

The price of gas on the day President Biden took office was about $2.39, and the media doesn’t like to remind the American public that Biden vowed to move away from fossil fuels while campaigning for office.

In a Wall Street Journal op-ed last month titled, “Biden Got the Energy Market He Wanted,” GOP political consultant Karl Rove detailed the president’s early actions:

On his first day in office, Mr. Biden canceled the Keystone XL pipeline and halted new leases in Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. A week later, he banned new oil and gas leases on federal lands and waters, and in June he shut down exploration on existing leases in ANWR. In October, he increased the regulatory burdens on building pipelines and other infrastructure. This February he limited leasing in Alaska’s National Petroleum Reserve. At every turn Team Biden has worked to restrict and reduce domestic oil and gas production.

Of course, Department of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg let the cat out of the bag recently while testifying before the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.

“The more pain we are all experiencing from the high price of gas, the more benefit there is for those who can access electric vehicles,” the Biden administration official excitedly declared — in light of the backlash over the remark, Buttigieg has since tweeted about gas prices falling.

Rove concluded, “In pursuit of climate goals, Mr. Biden’s policies raised costs for oil and gas and reduced supply. The result is higher gasoline and diesel prices at a time when inflation is already driving up the price of everything else. Mr. Biden got what he wanted, and it’s making life harder for ordinary Americans. Because of that, there will be hell for Democrats to pay come November.”
