Jessica Tarlov, the leftist voice on Fox News’s “The Five”, has an interesting take on handing taxpayer money back to taxpayers.
President Donald Trump has recently promised Americans $5,000 “dividends,” an idea that some find controversial. While supporters argue that returning taxpayer money would help stimulate the economy, critics argue that the president is “bribing” voters ahead of elections.
Tarlov finds herself in the latter camp:

When a man tries that hard to buy your affection, that’s not a dividend, that’s a bribe. And it will outlive every banana hammock clip from this convention,” she wrote on X.
While this is definitely food for thought, X users reminded Tarlov that she belongs on the side of the political aisle that campaigns on making everything “free,” from housing to education to childcare, so she really isn’t the best person to make this argument.
