The Democratic Party is so rife with antisemitism that Michigan’s Jewish attorney general fears showing up at her own party’s convention, a heck of a statement about the direction Dems are being dragged by radical socialists.
In remarks during a roundtable discussion with Michigan Jewish leaders on Thursday, Attorney General Dana Nessel said that she’s going to skip the upcoming Democratic nominating convention, which is set to take place in Lansing next month.

“I feel like my presence isn’t going to be welcome. I don’t want to get chased around. I don’t want to get harassed. I don’t want to get yelled and screamed at. I don’t want to get booed off the stage, irrespective of what I’m saying,” Nessel said, according to Michigan Advance.
“And I believe that if I go, that is what will happen because it’s been happening to me,” the blue state attorney general added.
“I will speak as a member of the Democratic Party here in Michigan, that some things have changed,” she said. “This cannot continue, and the fact of the matter is, we have to be able to be a society where we can have intelligent discourse and debate about ideas without people being threatened, and certainly without people carrying out those threats.”
Nessel’s remarks come as anti-Israel sentiment in the Democratic Party is burning white hot, and that is especially the case in the Wolverine State where left-wing Muslim bomb-thrower Abdul El-Sayed has opened up a sizable lead on establishment Rep. Haley Stevens in the race to be the party’s U.S. Senate nominee.

According to the Emerson College poll, El-Sayed is walloping Stevens by 15 points heading into next week’s primary.
Stevens has been endorsed by Nessel and COVID lockdown queen, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, while El-Sayed has the backing of such far-left luminaries as Bernie Sanders, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Hasan Piker, who are leading voices of the progressive anti-Israel socialists who are on the verge of taking over the Democratic Party.
It’s a total war on incumbents, especially those who support Israel, and on Thursday, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) was rudely interrupted during an anti-Trump rant by a protester calling him out for his support of the “genocide” in Gaza.

“You talk about corruption, how can you talk about corruption when you back genocide? What can be more corrupt than genocide? This is part of the same con of you and Trump playing off of each other,” the protester told the top Senate Democrat at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., where he was announcing a new anti-corruption initiative.
In a reaction to Nessel’s remarks, Michigan Democratic Party spokesperson Derrick Honeyman stated, “We reject antisemitism, Islamophobia, and all forms of hateful conduct. We are working diligently with stakeholders, elected officials, and party membership to prepare for our August convention and look forward to welcoming Michigan Democrats to the Lansing Center on August 29.”
