Puck News senior political correspondent Tara Palmeri responded to the news that former President Donald Trump has joined TikTok by reposting a video she shared a couple of weeks ago, warning that the Chinese social media platform “has become a hub of MAGA activity.”
The journalist claims there is two times more pro-Trump content on TikTok than pro-Biden content, but social media is skeptical of her claim — they cite her reporting that there are 3.4 million TikTok users in Nevada, which has a population of 3.1 million people. Outside of Democratic voting precincts, numbers like that cast a shadow of doubt.
“Forget about Truth Social. TikTok could become the real hub of MAGA content,” Palmeri says in the video. “I reported in my newsletter The Best & The Brightest that there is two times more pro-Trump content than pro-Biden content. Now, even Donald Trump is considering joining the app. Both parties see it as essential to win in 2024. And for good reason.”
Trump joins tiktok late last night, already has 1.9 million followers compared to Biden’s 336,000 — proving that Tiktok has become hub of MAGA activity and that there’s 2x more pro-Trump content than pro-Biden content https://t.co/55N5AipdZX pic.twitter.com/gMrIEC8I04

She lists the number of TikTok users in the battleground states of Pennsylvania, Nevada, Arizona, Georgia, and Michigan — it’s not clear where the reporter got her statistics from.
“So if just 1% of these users are fed more pro-Trump content or anti-Biden content it could have a real impact on the election that will likely be decided by a very small margin in these states,” Palmeri added.
In a tease to subscribe to her content, Palmeri suggests that TikTok “might be courting Trump and why he might be financially incentivized to engage.”
In effect, should Trump win in November, Chinese collusion may be the new Russian collusion hoax.
Again, the video was originally posted before Trump joined the app. Since joining over the weekend, the former president has amassed 5 million followers. The Biden campaign joined TikTok back in February and currently has 354,000 followers.

I strongly doubt there are 3.4 million TikTok users in Nevada.
The state’s total population is ~3.2 million.

Maybe the problem is that younger voters think that Biden sucks?

Tell me you’ve never logged on to TikTok without telling me you’ve never logged on to TikTok.
