Kai Trump, the eldest granddaughter of former President Donald Trump, has announced via social media that she has already committed to where she will play golf at the collegiate level.
The daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and his ex-wife Vanessa stole the show at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee — Kai shared her experiences playing golf with her famous grandfather, including how he would try to get inside her head when they competed.
“But he’s always surprised when I don’t let him. I remind him, I’m a Trump too,” she quipped.
Kai, 17, is beginning her junior year in high school — she attends the Benjamin School, a prestigious $37,000-per-year high school. Which means she won’t be packing her bags just yet.

Taking to Instagram Sunday to announce her decision, Kai thanked her parents and her grandfather for his “tremendous support.”
“I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to the University of Miami. I would like to thank my mom, Vanessa, and my dad, Don, for always supporting me through my journey,” she wrote. “I would also like to thank my great team for getting me to this point. I would like to thank my Grandpa for giving me access to great courses and tremendous support.”
“I would also like to thank my Mormor for always believing in me. I would also like to thank my entire family for always encouraging and pushing me to be the best person I can possibly be,” Kai continued. “I would like to thank my friends for always cheering me on. Last but not least I would love to thank Coach Janice and Coach Jim for giving me this opportunity. I am supper excited to be a cane and represent the University of Miami. Gooo Canes!”
When Trump was nearly killed by a 20-year-old would-be assassin who outsmarted the Secret Service, Kai took to Instagram to offer her response.
Sharing the iconic photo of her bloodied grandfather raising his fist in defiance without any regard to the possibility of there being other shooters, Kai wrote: “We love you Grandpa. Never stop fighting! ❤️”
