Kamala Harris campaign paid $1 million to Oprah after star-studded October town hall

A purported push for “values and integrity” endorsing the vice president included a tidy seven-figure sum for one billionaire media mogul.

When Vice President Kamala Harris wasn’t gaslighting the American people on her background or the policies that she favors, a review of the management of over $1 billion raised for her campaign showed that those around her were more than happy to gaslight their support as well.

This, according to a report from the Washington Examiner, included Oprah Winfrey’s endorsement of the Democratic Party candidate that netted her production company $1 million after holding a town hall in September.

Appearing with Lady Gaga at Harris’s final campaign rally in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on the eve of the election, Winfrey asserted, “We’re voting for values and integrity. We’re voting for healing over hate.”

Meanwhile, the Examiner detailed that out of $15 million dedicated to “Event production,” “There was $1 million for Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Productions on Oct. 15 in West Hollywood, California.”

The report went on to detail, “Viva Creative, a marketing agency that has touted its work with Oprah, comedian Trevor Noah, the Washington Nationals baseball team, and American Express, scooped up $1.8 million from the Harris campaign for event production from September to October. A company called Production Management One in Maryland received $1.7 million, with large payments also going to Vox Productions, Temple University, Wizard Studios North, the Park Hyatt Chicago, and other entities for event production, filings show.”

Likewise, in keeping up appearances, six figures were allotted to make a hotel room look like the “Call Her Daddy” podcast so Harris could hold her interview that brought in less than a million views without the vice president having to leave Washington, D.C.

Amid the spending revelations that found the budget-busting campaign seeking more money from supporters under the banner of the “Harris Fight Fund,” leading some to believe the effort was an attempt to cover the at least $20 million worth of debt accrued, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith foisted blame on Winfrey and the like for playing part in the ultimate downfall of the vice president’s second failed White House bid.

“This is the kind of stuff that alienates an electorate, alienates a voter. Because the freedom that you tell them you have, you try to confiscate morally by letting them know, you ain’t worth a damn unless you vote the way we say you should vote,” he said of remarks Winfrey made during the Philadelphia rally that included, “If we don’t show up tomorrow, it is entirely possible that we will not have the opportunity to ever cast a ballot again.”

“Who’s going to go for that in a general election? With an economy rife with inflation, with over 12 million people crossing the border…the value of their dollars dissipating before our very eyes,” he continued.

Smith also went after former First Lady Michelle Obama when he said, “If we don’t agree with you, we’re against you? How do you think the men felt about that? So we have to do what you tell us to do; otherwise, we’re anti-you? You thought that worked? Do y’all know anything about most men? You think that’s going to work?”

Especially where it concerned billionaire Winfrey, reactions on social media begged the question, “If all those celebrities and singers believed in her, why did she have to pay them to come out for her?”
