Kamala’s slavery lie called out by black educator who CRAFTED the Florida curriculum

Vice President Kamala Harris was called out for her big lie that Florida’s new African-American history curriculum teaches that slavery was good for some slaves, with one prominent black civil rights figure who helped to craft the standards blasting her “categorically false” remarks.

Harris has been at the center of a coordinated propaganda blitz to distort the material by using one cherry-picked line out of a 200+ page document to portray the curriculum as racist, a false narrative that has fueled a media smear campaign of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Michigan State University professor emeritus Dr. William Allen, a member of the workgroup that helped to put together the new standards and a former chairman of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights spoke out about the veep’s grotesque distortion of the group’s work.

During an interview with ABC News when he was asked to address the criticism of the curriculum, Allen responded, “The only criticism I’ve encountered so far  is a single one that was articulated by the vice president, and which was an error.”

“As I stated in my response to the vice president, it was categorically false. It was never said that slavery was beneficial to Africans,” he said.

Dr. Allen also joined Jesse Watters of Fox News on Monday’s edition of  “Jesse Watters Primetime” where he accused Harris of being a liar.

“This curriculum is devoted to telling the truth,” Allen said, “whereas Kamala Harris has retailed a lie.”

“Now, it may only have been a falsehood the first time she stated it,” he added. “But when you repeat a falsehood, it becomes a lie.”

Using the example of the great black American orator, author, and abolitionist Frederick Douglass who was first taught to read by his slaveowner’s mistress, he said, “Such examples are numerous and they’re retelling the stories of people who suffered the indignity of slavery time and again.”

“What this curriculum is about is having people who lived the experience, who lived the history, tell their stories,” he continued. “And nothing is more important than that we never, ever, erase the stories that the people who lived the stories tell. No one has a right to interpret, before first understanding the stories as the people who lived them understood them themselves.”

Harris first spouted the lie last week when she spoke to black sorority members at the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority National Convention in Indianapolis, accusing Republican “extremists” of gaslighting about black history as she gaslighted her audience.

“Just yesterday, in the State of Florida, they decided middle school students will be taught that enslaved people benefited from slavery,” she said.

The vice president would later repeat the lie during a speech in Jacksonville, Florida where she twisted the truth to advance the Democratic Party’s dishonest, race-baiting agenda which will be the central focus of the Biden-Harris reelection campaign.

“Extremists here in Florida passed a law, ‘Don’t Say Gay,’ trying to instill fear in our teachers that they should not live their full life and love who they love,” Harris said during her remarks. “And now, on top of all of that, they want to replace history with lies. Middle school students in Florida to be told that enslaved people benefited from slavery.”

“They have an agenda,” Allen told Watters. “And they only want slavery to be told from a certain perspective.”
