Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass was buried under backlash after a tone-deaf post lamenting the “most vulnerable” illegal aliens in her community.
The Democrat’s post on social media last week touted a holiday donation drive for families not feeling “safe” in the California city, and it generated criticism on X that continued to reverberate for days.
“For many immigrant families, this holiday season is marked by absence and fear. Loved ones are missing due to immigration enforcement actions, and many families do not feel safe leaving their homes to participate in holiday traditions,” Bass wrote in the post, accompanied by photos from the toy drive.

“Thanks to the incredible generosity of Angelenos, we organized a holiday donation drive that gathered more than 1,000 toys and many essential items, delivering gifts, care, and a heartfelt reminder that these families are not alone,” Bass continued.
“I am deeply grateful to everyone who donated, volunteered, and shared this drive with their community. This is an example of Los Angeles sticking together to protect the most vulnerable,” Bass added.
Nowhere in her post was there a mention of her constituents who have loved ones “missing” because of criminal actions by those illegally in the country.
What about Laken Riley’s parents? Are you going to send them a fruit basket and a couple of Barbies?

The leftist mayor was blasted on X, where many urged her to “read the room.”
For many families, this holiday season is marked by absence and grief.
Families who have lost daughters, sons, sisters, brothers, moms, dads … because we allowed bad actors to come into our country illegally in the name of diversity and equity.
Read the room, Karen. https://t.co/omUZkxsbPG

They are not immigrants, they are illegal aliens.

They can use the @DHSgov “Home” app and get free airline tickets and a $1,000 each to join their love ones for Christmas.

Loved ones are missing because of the lack of the previous administration’s enforcement actions! Not a very Merry Christmas for the families of these girls! pic.twitter.com/7JAyXi1E2V

No one would be fearful of law enforcement if THEY ACTUALLY FOLLOWED THE LAW!
Hope you go to prison you enormous clown!
