Kelly Osbourne regrets infamous Trump zinger, ended up ‘the most cringe moment’ of her entire life

Media personality Kelly Osbourne admits that she is mortified by a comment she made in 2015 while co-hosting “The View” that was meant to zing former President Trump but blew up in her face instead.

“If you kick every Latino out of this country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilets, Donald Trump?” she virally quipped during the segment.

She made the ill-considered smear during a discussion with Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie Perez concerning the candidacy of Trump for the presidency and his stance on illegal immigration.

Osbourne is now telling Rolling Stone that it was the “most cringe moment of my entire life.”

A new TikTok trend has picked up the infamous remark and is featuring people joking about booting certain groups of individuals out of the country and the consequences of doing so.

“Osbourne realized in real time she had just made a blunder. As some of her co-hosts audibly gasped, Osbourne stammered, ‘In the sense that – you know what I mean – what I’m saying?’ Perez haltingly said, ‘Oh, that’s not…’ as an objection to her comment, which is now also part of the TikTok trend,” Fox News reported.

After the faux pas, Osbourne issued a statement where she apologized for her “poor choice of words.” She added, “I will not apologize for being racist as I am NOT.”

“Nearly a decade later, the daughter of Ozzy Osbourne is at peace with the clip, even with it having recently resurfaced on social media. She admitted to Rolling Stone, ‘It’s the most cringe moment of my entire life. But to see people be creative with it does put a smile on my face,'” Fox News wrote.

“It turns something so ugly into something funny,” she said concerning the memes using her gaffe.

“Oh my God, I died,” she said during the interview with Rolling Stone. “It hurt a lot of people, and that to me by far makes it the worst thing I’ve ever done. I realized that I’m not great on live TV and that words are so powerful.”

“It was something that was so painful. And so life-changing, chaotic, and crazy in every way. I mean, I received death threats. I used to have this freedom where people liked my crazy opinions and they liked the shock factor of it. And I fed into it a lot because I didn’t understand it. I’ve learned when to shut up and to stop talking. I’m definitely not the person I was before that incident,” Osbourne asserted.

“And to be labeled as something you’re not is really difficult. But it happened. There’s nothing I can do,” she stated.

Osbourne went on to try and explain what she meant in the segment.

“This whole country is built on immigrants, and if you stop people from coming into this country who do the jobs that make this country exist and thrive and flourish, who’s going to do all the jobs that you don’t want to do yourself?” she cluelessly contended.

“It came out so wrong,” Osbourne whined.

“During that time, my dad [Ozzy Osbourne] had just cheated on my mother [Sharon Osbourne],” she said justifying her actions. “I was drinking to numb the pain of everything. I was a trash can when it came to drugs, whatever I could get my hands on.”

When she was done lamenting, the celebrity continued pandering to Latinos.

“I feel very strongly that Latin American culture is the backbone of America. I believe that Latin Americans are the hardest-working people you will ever meet. And their connection to family and their culture is closer to mine than the American way,” she gushed.

“It goes to show that people never forget. And even though I’m the butt of the joke, I’m still laughing,” Osbourne told Rolling Stone.
