Kid Rock joins Pete Hegseth for a ride on Army helicopter

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth is thumbing his nose at the haters who were annoyed by the Kid Rock fly-by at the end of March.

The secretary stepped in amid an investigation into the pilots seen hovering an AH‑64 Apache helicopter outside of the rocker’s Tennessee mansion. Their suspensions were lifted and they were no longer being punished for what critics decried as a waste of taxpayer dollars.

Now, Rock and Hegseth got the last laugh as they rode together in an Apache helicopter.

Look:

“Joined my friend [Kid Rock]— and some of our great [United States Army] Apache pilots — for a ride this morning. (More to come on that!),” the secretary wrote in a social media post. “Kid Rock is a patriot and huge supporter of our troops. The War Department is wasting no time celebrating America’s 250th — home of the free because of the brave.”

This got some people on X heated:
