Kid Rock told viewers to “expect the unexpected” this Sunday during Turning Point USA’s “All-American Halftime Show.”
The iconic rocker is headlining a wholesome alternative to the Super Bowl halftime show featuring Bad Bunny, aka, Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, a dress-wearing male performer who warned viewers several months back that they’ll need to learn Spanish beforehand to understand the show — Ocasio backed away from that message this week, saying viewers will not have to know Spanish to enjoy the show.
The Turning Point USA show will also feature Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett, and Kid Rock let it be known that they will take the stage with hearts full of love.
“I think one thing important that I would like to get out there and say to everyone is that I think I speak for us all at Turning Point, the other artists that are performing, when I say that in no way, shape or form, don’t let the left twist this around,” he said in a video shared online by influencer Benny Johnson. “Like, in no way are we approaching this with any hate in our hearts. We’re simply gonna go play some great songs, like I’ve said, for our base, people who love football, love America, love good music, love Jesus. It’s pretty much that simple.”
Kid Rock gives an exclusive preview of the TPUSA All-American Halftime Show:
“This is a show for people who love football, love America and love Jesus.”
“Hollywood and costal elites control the entertainment business. A lot of artists are scared.”

While music should bring people together, Kid Rock spoke about how Hollywood and coastal elites control the entertainment business and said many artists are “scared” to buck the accepted left-wing narrative.
On that note, woke NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell pushed a message of unity this week while defending the choice of Ocasio, who set the stage at last week’s Grammy Awards when he denounced ICE for enforcing immigration laws in the U.S.
“Listen, Bad Bunny is, and I think that was demonstrated last night, one of the great artists in the world and that’s one of the reasons we chose him,” Goodell said. “But the other reason is he understood the platform he was on and this platform is used to unite people and to be able to bring people together with their creativity, with their talents and to be able to use this moment to do that and I think artists in the past have done that.
“I think Bad Bunny understands that and I think he’ll have a great performance.”
Kid Rock knows what they are up against when it comes to the Super Bowl, which is consistently the most-watched TV program each year
“This is a David vs. Goliath moment — but we can win,” he said. “The people love a good song and love their country, that’s what they’ll get.”
Evangelist Franklin Graham took to social media to share his thoughts on having an alternative to the NFL’s “sexualized” halftime shows.
“Like most Americans, I’ve enjoyed watching the Super Bowl. But the halftime shows began pushing moral boundaries and have become more and more sexualized. This year, they’re having Bad Bunny perform. The [NFL] leadership is pushing this sexualized agenda,” Graham posted. “Thank you, [TPUSA] and [Erika Kirk] for providing an alternative — ‘The All-American Halftime Show’ with the agenda of celebrating family, faith, and freedom!”

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
NFL trotted out Bad Bunny today to hype its halftime debacle.
His culture‑war dog whistles? Boring & unoriginal.
TPUSA’s lineup has greater cultural relevance than the slop the NFL is hyping. https://t.co/ukgxeLaGib

I’m all in on the TPUSA half-time show. It’s been a long time since I had any interest in Superbowl Sunday. I don’t plan to watch the Superbowl at all but I hope that from here on out we can look forward to having an annual TPUSA half-time show party to replace the Superbowl…

There are probably 75 million Americans who couldn’t care less about the Super Bowl—but they WILL be watching Kid Rock at Turning Point USA’s All-American Halftime Show. Love him or hate him, that American Badass presence pulls a crowd every single time. pic.twitter.com/SOyWU2EKBw

If Kid Rock plays any COUNTRY song during the TPUSA Halftime Show, I hope it’s this banger. He’ll have his guitar for sure.
