With the swift approach of the 2024 elections drawing near, President Joe Biden is insisting he has done more in just two years to create jobs than any other president managed to do in the first four years of their terms — but on Twitter, critics were quick to set the record straight.
“My Administration has created more jobs in two years than any previous administration has created in the first four years,” Biden proudly tweeted on Tuesday. “It’s no accident. It means our economic plan is working and this is only the beginning.”

Detractors were quick to point out that Biden was, in fact, taking credit for the return of jobs lost during the pandemic lockdowns.
“Stop lying,” replied one Twitter user. “Recovered jobs are not created jobs. Like the rest of your career of plagiarism and taking credit for other’s efforts. Those are Trump’s jobs, people went back to work after Covid.”

Claremont Institute Communications Director Nick Short replied with an inconvenient truth: “72% of all job gains since 2021 were simply jobs that were being recovered from the pandemic, not new job creation.”
“Prior to the pandemic,” Short continued, “job creation under Trump was 6.7 million—3 million more jobs than the current President.”

“This is Kim Jung Un level propaganda,” stated podcaster Jeremy Ryan Slate. “Well done@JoeBiden.”

Does anyone believe this nonsense, of course not.
Are you better off now than 4 years ago?
Is the country better off?
Is the Biden crime family better off?
These are the same people who want to cut the breasts off little girls. They have stats for that too.

Another user noted that a “Community Note” was initially added to the president’s post, though it appears to have since been removed.
“90% of new jobs during Biden’s term can be attributed to post-pandemic return to work,” the note said.
“This tweet was flagged by @Twitter then it wasn’t?” the user tweeted. “Did he create those jobs or is it misleading? @elonmusk are you covering up for the Biden’s?”

Regardless of Musk’s views, EJ Antoni, research fellow in regional economics with The Heritage Foundation’s Center for Data Analysis, says Biden’s “favorite talking points” are only serving to help former President Donald Trump.
“It’s quite preposterous to think we can forcibly put people out of work by making it illegal for businesses to open, and then call it job creation when those sanctions are lifted,” Antoni told Fox News Digital. “And Biden’s handlers clearly haven’t thought through that strategy since it portrays Trump in a better light than Biden.”
“After the initial lockdowns, average monthly job ‘creation’ under President Trump was 1.4 million, versus 500,000 under Biden,” Antoni continued. “Furthermore, job growth today remains well below the pre-pandemic trend, largely because so many people have not returned to the workforce. Both the labor force participation rate and the employment-to-population ratio remain depressed. The drop from their pre-pandemic level means over 2 million workers are missing from the workforce.”
“Average weekly earnings are down 5.1% under Biden after adjusting for inflation,” the analyst noted, “and financing costs are way up, further eroding the family budget.”
But according to a White House spokesperson, “Bidenomics” is a thing of beauty and, since President Biden took office, there are more than 13 million more jobs in America.

“When the President took office, independent experts like the Congressional Budget Office were projecting that the unemployment rate wouldn’t fall below 4% until the end of 2025,” the White House added. “But under Bidenomics, the unemployment rate fell below 4% four years before expectations and has stayed there for the past 18 months.”
“That’s almost 4 million more jobs than we had before COVID,” the spokesperson said, “a historically fast and strong recovery.”
