White House National Security Communications adviser John Kirby is under fire for an email dismissing the concerns of military veterans critical of the Biden-Harris surrender of Afghanistan to the terrorist Taliban.
On the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the regime spinmeister revealed how the administration really feels about veterans when he mistakenly included Fox News in an email telling staffers that there was “no use in responding” to a “handful of vets” about the disastrous 2021 withdrawal from the Islamic country.
“Obviously no use in responding. A ‘handful’ of vets indeed and all of one stripe,” Kirby wrote in the “reply all” email chain on Wednesday afternoon that was inadvertently sent to the reporter inquiring about the critical comments from vets who slammed him for his Monday presser that they said gave “cover” to the administration.
The email highlighted quotes from the vets, including Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL), who ripped Kirby for “deflecting” from the greatest foreign policy humiliation since the evacuation of Vietnam after a damning congressional report marking the third anniversary of the Afghanistan withdrawal.
“Clearly, I didn’t realize you were on the chain,” Kirby told the reporter.
“The bottom line is that the Biden-Harris administration chose politics over strategy, and Kirby, who I wouldn’t trust to guard my grocery list, is now trying to cover for them.” https://t.co/783Io1ZbFo

“The bottom line is that the Biden-Harris administration chose politics over strategy, and Kirby, who I wouldn’t trust to guard my grocery list, is now trying to cover for them,” Mills told Fox News Digital.
Kirby was slammed over his slip-up that while embarrassing for him, was a revealing glimpse into how the White House views veterans who it believes are not sufficiently loyal to the regime and who don’t parrot its propaganda about the catastrophic Afghanistan withdrawal, a fiasco that led to the deaths of 13 Marines in a suicide bombing at the Kabul airport.
“This is how the Biden-Harris administration talks about the well-founded concerns of our nation’s veterans?” Sen. John Thune (R-SD) said in a post to X. “Just days after the anniversary of the deadly Afghanistan withdrawal. On the anniversary of 9/11. Our Gold Star families deserve better.”

“In an accidental reply to Fox News, he stated that there was NO NEED to respond to “a handful of vets” about the BOTCHED Biden-Harris withdrawal from Afghanistan!! 13 American service members DIED and he DOESN’T CARE!!” Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX) wrote.
John Kirby is a DISGRACE!!

House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX) said he was unsurprised but appalled by Kirby’s comments.
“Retired Rear Admiral Kirby’s comments are appalling, but sadly not surprising,” House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX) said in a statement. “The Biden-Harris administration has consistently disregarded our veterans, service members, and Gold Star families over their botched withdrawal from Afghanistan.”
“President Biden, for his part, faced a stark choice when he came to office: Abide by the flawed agreement and end America’s longest war, or blow up the deal, extend the war, and see a much smaller contingent of American troops back in combat with the Taliban,” Kirby said at the Monday presser, defending Biden. “He chose the former and was able to buy additional time to prepare for that withdrawal all the way into summer, and we, as a nation, are safer for it.”
“For him to lie to the American people he wore the uniform to serve, in order to cover up the atrocities of politicians, is disgraceful,” former Force Recon Marine and Afghanistan veteran Chad Robichaux said in a statement to Fox News Digital.
