LA Times adds CNN’s Scott Jennings to editorial board

CNN’s lone conservative firebrand voice, Scott Jennings, has been added to the Los Angeles Times editorial board in yet another sign of the corporate media finally moving away from the far left.

The announcement of Jennings’ hire came this week via the paper’s owner, Pat Soon-Shiong.

First, Pat Soon-Shiong retweeted a viral clip of Jennings schooling his CNN peers on the undeniable truth that Twitter/X is the most ideologically balanced platform in the world.

And then, dovetailing off the clip, Soon-Shiong announced that he’d hired Jennings.

“That’s why I want Scott on our new editorial board!!!” he wrote. “Growing the board with experts who have thoughtful balanced views and new candidates are accepting the challenge to join us! Way to go Scott and thanks for accepting @latimes.”

The announcement prompted hesitant, thoughtful praise, with conservative critics who’ve long been critical of the Times’ leftwards bias writing that they welcomed the idea of a conservative joining the team.

From the radicalized, hate-filled left meanwhile, Soon-Shiong’s announcement triggered pure, unrepentant rage. It was like watching the liberal response on Election Night all over again.

“[S]cott is a f–king idiot and only repeats magat talking points, it’s all he knows to do as he has zero original thought. Your publication is going to have a magat infestation & become nothing more than birdcage liner,” one nearly illiterate Trump hater whined.

“Losers of a feather listen to Scott Jennings together. Go f–k yourself,” another profane critic shrieked.

“You absolute craven, greedy, MAGA-ass-kissing turd. Your readers – your CUSTOMERS – the community you pretend to serve – are Californians. They’re not interested in this Breitbart-lite crap,” another deranged leftist lunatic barked.

But the most deranged response came from former CNN “reporter” Oliver Darcy, a shameless propagandist for the Democrat Party.

Sounding just like the leftist lunatics on Twitter/X, Darcy reportedly got on the phone with Soon-Shiong and then proceeded to lecture him about how Jennings is just a Trump Toadie.

“The problem with Jennings is that his commentary is, at its core, dishonest,” Darcy later wrote for his newsletter, Status, as reported by Mediaite. “He may not outright blurt out lies, but he isn’t being truthful, either.”

“His entire career hinges on defending a politician who subjects the populace to an endless stream of lies and conspiracy theories. Honest people are not in the line of work of defending dishonest people — especially when they are in such important positions of power,” he added.

Soon-Shiong, much to his credit, did not take kindly to his contrived narrative. First, he accused Darcy of harboring bias, which many would agree he does indeed in droves. And then he called him a “so-called reporter.”

Conservatives staunchly agreed.
