Lauren Boebert next target for group that released nude Cawthorn video

A group taking credit for helping defeat U.S. Rep. Madison Cawthorn in Tuesday’s Republican primary in North Carolina has now set its sights on U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert, who faces a challenge in the June 28 Republican primary for Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District.

The American Muckrakers PAC launched a crowd-sourcing campaign looking for dirt on the outspoken freshman lawmaker, stating that they are “seeking tips on information, pictures, videos, or documents on Boebert or her associates.”

In a tweet promoting a website targeting the Colorado Republican, the group taunted the firebrand congresswoman: “Hi @RepBoebert – Please visit with @RepCawthorn about us. We look forward to getting to know you.”

David B. Wheeler, who co-founded the PAC, spoke to Insider about Boebert being their next target after digging up dirt on Cawthorn, who did his share and then some in getting caught up in controversy. Among the things uncovered was an old nude clip of Cawthorn humping a male friend. He responded to the dump to say, “Years ago, in this video, I was being crass with a friend, trying to be funny. We were acting foolish, and joking. That’s it.”

“I think we’re gonna go after Lauren Boebert in Colorado in a similar way,” Wheeler told Insider. “I think we’re gonna engage in that race pretty quickly.”

It’s no coincidence that former President Donald Trump has endorsed Boebert, calling her “a fearless leader, a defender of the America First Agenda, and a fighter against the Loser RINOs and Radical Democrats.”

Wheeler claimed he has already received “interesting information” about the Republican, telling Insider that the information is “certainly not as salacious as some of the Cawthorn stuff.”

He went on to suggest that it was related to financial matters.

“Last year, The Associated Press reported that the first-year lawmaker failed to disclose her husband’s income during her campaign, in violation of ethics and campaign-finance laws,” Insider reported. “She said her husband made nearly $1 million over 2019 and 2020 as a consultant for an energy firm.”
