“Pawn Stars” star Rick Harrison has said that his son, 39-year-old Adam Harrison, died from a fentanyl overdose.
What’s more, Harrison pointed to the historic crisis on the southern border where well over 8 million illegal immigrants have entered the country in three short years under President Biden, along with an unknown quantity of drugs.
“Yes, I can confirm Adam died from a fentanyl overdose,” Rick said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “The fentanyl crisis in this country must be taken more seriously. It seems it is just flowing over the borders and nothing is being done about it. We must do better.”
“He passed of an overdose. The family is greatly saddened at his loss and asks for privacy as they grieve,” a representative for Harrison told the network on Friday.
Harrison shared the following photo on Instagram, along with the caption: “You will always be in my heart! I love you Adam. ”

Harrison had two sons with ex-wife Kim, and both were involved in the family business — Corey Harrison is featured on “Pawn Stars,” but Adam was not. Rick re-married and has son Jake with his second wife, Tracy.
Not only are record numbers of illegal immigrants occurring under Biden, but so too are overdoses.
“In 2023, fatalities from drug overdoses surpassed 112,000 for the first time in the nation’s history. With its staggering death toll, according to a December NPR report, the drug crisis in America has eclipsed epidemics of the past including the 1980s crack cocaine crisis and the prescription opioid epidemic of the aughts,” the Los Angeles Times reported.
And while some on social media agreed with Rick about the border, others were quick to point to personal responsibility.
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
Sad. And I blame the border crisis on Biden admin.

While this is very sad. An addict will always find their fix. If you’re using in this day then you’re aware of the risks involved. Some accountability needs to be taken. I’m sorry for thr loss to the Harrison family

I feel for Mr. Harrison’s loss. That being said, when will people realize that continued unchecked abuse of drugs and alcohol never has a good outcome. The blame lands squarely in the lap of his son Adam. I do agree that the border crisis is a problem on many different levels,…
