Following “60 Minutes” announcing Friday that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) would appear on the show Sunday, leftists came absolutely unglued and predictably compared her to Hitler with one actor accusing CBS of “legitimizing a ghoul.”
Radical leftists such as MSNBC’s Mehdi Hasan, NBC News’ Ben Collins, former GOP Congressman Adam Kinzinger, liberal commentator Elie Mystal, gun control activist David Hogg and a number of others slammed CBS for hosting Greene, who is a staunch supporter of former President Trump.
The CBS show made the announcement via its official Twitter account, posting a preview of the pre-filmed interview. It featured four images of “60 Minutes” host Lesley Stahl interviewing Greene in various locations.
One of the pictures showed Stahl and Greene in the Capitol rotunda which sent the left into a tizzy because of the January 6 Capitol riot.
It was an honor to spend a few days with the legendary icon Leslie Stahl and talented crew @60Minutes.
Leslie is a trailblazer for women in journalism.
And while we may disagree on some issues, I respect her greatly.
Tune in tomorrow 7 pm ET on CBS. https://t.co/GpqTHxposb— Marjorie Taylor Greene 🇺🇸 (@mtgreenee) April 1, 2023
“Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, nicknamed MTG, isn’t afraid to share her opinions, no matter how intense and in-your-face they are. She sits down with Lesley Stahl this Sunday on 60 Minutes,” the account proclaimed, incensing Democrats even more.
Liberals took to Twitter to thrash CBS for daring to interview Greene and they were vicious as expected.
The Nation correspondent and frequent MSNBC guest Elie Mystal hammered the network’s civil treatment of the GOP congresswoman. He knocked them for using her nickname, treating her as a friend rather than an enemy.
“The way you guys say her ‘nickname’ is MTG… as if it’s a cute moniker bestowed by her besties… when her initials are just MTG and her ‘nicknames’ are ‘Marjorie Three Names’ and ‘Unfrozen Caveman Congresswoman’ just shows that you’re here to launder her rep and complicit,” he bitterly stated.

Former GOP Congressman and January 6 Committee member Adam Kinzinger was beside himself, “Wow. Insane that 60 min would do this.”
Former CNN and NBC anchor Soledad O’Brien ridiculed “60 Minutes’” for its characterization of Greene, tweeting, “Folks, she’s just ‘in your face.’”
Leftist actor Bradley Whitford compared Greene to Hitler and tweeted, “Reminds me of a guy we defeated in the 1940s who wasn’t afraid to share his opinions, no matter how intense and in-your-face they were. Too bad you couldn’t interview him, @LesleyRStahl, you could have asked him about his vegetarianism and his love of dogs.”
The “West Wing” actor added, “You’re legitimizing a ghoul who harasses victims of school shootings, @60Minutes. But yeah, @LesleyRStahl, you’ll get tons of attention! Not great for a generation traumatized by gun violence. Shame on you.”

Liberal commentator Molly Jong-Fast threw down as well, tweeting, “Attention is currency and 60 minutes is spending its currency on the Jewish space lasers woman.”
Atlantic contributor Jemele Hill was evidently just offended by the interview in general, “There’s nothing wrong with interviewing and profiling controversial, even despicable people, but this framing is sh*T. There’s also a fine line between engaging provocative people and platforming stupid. This is platforming stupid.”
MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan ripped CBS over the interview, tweeting, “So brazen anti-Muslim, antisemitic, anti-trans bigotry, and insane conspiracies about Hillary Clinton torturing kids and murdering her opponents, are reduced by a storied American news brand merely to ‘intense and in-your-face’. This is equal parts embarrassing and reckless.”
NBC News senior reporter Ben Collins dredged up one of Greene’s old social media posts that took aim at gun control activist David Hogg, tweeting, “More recently than the last time I went to the dentist, MTG chased around a Parkland student and called him ‘Little Hitler.’ You do not have to do a soft focus glow-up of this person on national television. That is not reporting, it’s kowtowing to where you think power is headed.”

Biden delegate Victor Shi also chimed in with outrage, “I don’t know who needs to hear this, but Marjorie Taylor Greene is the last person who should get a national platform. And any news organization that gives her one is not only a total disgrace, but they’re normalizing fascism, racism, violence, & lies. Full stop.”
He added, “For context: 60 Minutes, which is under CBS, will be airing an in-depth conversation between MTG and Leslie Stahl this Sunday. This is unforgivable. Someone like MTG simply doesn’t deserve another opportunity to spread lies. No one watch it. No one.”
