Lincoln Project co-founder floats Jared Kushner as mole for feds, releases vile video taunting Trump

With unanswered questions still swirling about what triggered the unprecedented FBI raid of a former U.S. president’s home, some on the left have launched an attack on Donald Trump by asking who was the rat that tipped off the federal agents.

Among the vultures circling is Lincoln Project co-founder Rick Wilson who unpacked the question at length during an appearance on MSNBC Wednesday, discussing the topic following the release of the rabidly anti-Trump group’s video asking who sold out the former president and making the bold suggestion that perhaps it was his own son-in-law, Jared Kushner.

The video release came on the heels of a Daily Mail interview with a former FBI agent suggesting there was an “informant” involved and the Lincoln Project ad was soon followed by an Axios report on who sold out Trump. A bombshell Newsweek report also cited anonymous officials on a confidential informant “who was able to identify what classified documents former President Trump was still hiding and even the location of those documents.”

“We knew that Donald Trump would try to gaslight the entire country and try to psychologically destabilize the minute this raid happened,” Wilson told MSNBC’s John Heilemann who was guest-hosting “Deadline: White House” and who described the Lincoln Project’s 60-second video as a “very high-end piece of psy-ops.”

“We knew he would immediately start lying and they would immediately try to tell an alternate narrative of why it’s happening and why it’s really happening. And we wanted to immediately push back. And something we’re good at — which is getting inside his decision cycle and getting inside his head space and pushing back in a way that we’ve been very, very successful in the past,” Wilson claimed.

Setting up his next question, Heilemann touted Wilson as a “practitioner of the dark earth of psy-ops” and “a plugged-in Republican strategist,” before asking who he thought was the inside informant who tipped off the FBI.

“I think there were a lot of stories a few weeks ago about Jared and Ivanka trying to back away from Trump and trying to start their own brand, essentially break off from Trump and pulling away from the Trump orbit,” Wilson replied, referring to the former first daughter and her husband. “I think Jared Kushner has a great paranoia for reasons to do with his family’s past. He doesn’t ever want to ever go to jail. I suspect that the FBI and folks have a persuasive argument there that he should talk.”

Wilson claimed there were plenty of other “potential suspects” who could have leaked information because, he claimed, Trump “treats his people so terribly.”

“And he knows that — they know they’re imminently ready to be thrown under the bus,” he added. “So, it could be any one of them. Which is kind of the point we were making. And look, I could have made a longer spot than 60 and told a more complete story. But, look, they’re always like crabs in a bucket down there in Mar-a-Lago. They’re always fighting with each other. They’re always competing with each other and they’re always looking to protect themselves. So someone is protecting themselves in a pool right now.”
