Liz Cheney’s ‘next move’ is already being dubbed a ‘Lincoln Project rebrand’

Following the sound thumping Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., received Tuesday night, she may be knocking the dust off her resume.

Or she may have already planned out what she’s going to do once her stint in the House of Representatives is over.

Following in the footsteps of other high-profile losers, Cheney has announced her next step is to set up a political “organization” dedicated to opposing former President Donald Trump’s return to politics.

First reported by Politico, Cheney spokesperson Jeremy Adler explained the plan.

“In coming weeks, Liz will be launching an organization to educate the American people about the ongoing threat to our Republic, and to mobilize a unified effort to oppose any Donald Trump campaign for president,” he revealed.

So basically, a “Lincoln Project rebrand.”

Politico also dubbed her the “undisputed leader of the Trump opposition,” though it remains to be seen if anything she does has an effect on the former president’s potential campaign.

This came as a surprise to nobody, as social media reaction largely agreed that they didn’t expect anything else from a Republican who has been more aligned with Democrats, of late:
